Receied call from 02538020308 at 10:02 0n 8th Feb 2012. Went dead on answering.

I got a call from this number.  Person claimed to be called "Ricky" from "Windows" and when pressed confirmed that he were calling on behalf of Microsoft UK.  He told me they had my details from when I registered my computer and now their servers had spotted a problem with my computer that they wanted to help me fix.  He was very insistent and very persuasive.  In the end I had to put the phone down.

have had this call and noone answers then hangs up so annoying

Cant some one in authority get rid of this idiot,

recieved phone calls from this number for the past year ish, obviously we have not fallen for the scam as my whole family have good computer knowledge and I am training in IT career currently. We have contacted the police about it and they are dealing with it, they say!

It has now started ringing every 30mins approx and cutting off  then a computer saying "goodbye" so I am guessing they may have changed the scam to one where as soon as you answer it costs money.

I don't understand why the authorities aren't doing something about this quicker as it is extremely intrusive and distracting when you are getting phone calls every half hour for no reason what so ever! Also some poor person is going to fall for the scam that doesn't have knowledge at all or is going to answer the phone calls repeatedly costing them a fortune!

i had this number call me a few months ago and now it has started again. each time i question the caller and get agressive with them, they say the same thing to me. that they want to F**k my girlfriend. one agent even said he was with me girlfriend and started making sex sounds. i found this funny because it was so pathetic but its still very annoying to get these calls

They're targetting Norwich, Norfolk UK now.  I told the Asian sounding bloke I had no idea what he was talking about, and could not really understand his accent anyway.  Said I'd prefer to hear of any problem from my landline and broadband provider.  It sounded like he was referring to my landline phone service rather than my computer.

Scary thing was he knew the name of my now defunct business.  That was 6 years ago when I closed that.

Same thing happened with us, appeared interested, put cushion under pillow and let them ramble on!  10 mins later they had hung up.

had 9 calls in under 4hrs today ( 16/02/2012 ) from 02538020308 with no one speaking when i pick up only good bye and line goes dead .

Off work this week and have had enough of those calls! I told a very asian sounding 'William' that I am not interested and I know it's a scam and I think that's made them ring even more often now!

There should be a way of blocking these calls?

Had a call from 0253820308 telling me that my microsoft windows program was corrupt! I told the guy that it wasn't and this sounds like a scam and I will report it. Claimed he was from Windows.

Received call about my computer being infected with a virus, load of rubbish then caller hung up.  Did they keep me on the line long enough to do anything to my laptop (which was switched on).  Sounds daft but can they access through my phone line/ broadband in some way?  I wouldnt know. Did 14713 to call back and it states number does not exist!

I received a call today from a Company offering to repair all the faults and viruses on my computer. As I have received several similar calls before,  I asked the caller how she (asian) got my number and she then rang off.  Is there an official body to whom these calls can be reported?

Had a silent call from this number to our 0191 area number. Just added it to the call barred list on the Panasonic handset.

I got a call from this number - and very nearly fell for it.  The guy called himself Stephen Lopez and said he was from Microsoft Windows Centre Computer Maintenance Dept.  He had an indian accent - so I was suspicious about the name but he was very clever - just like the time share sharks of the past.  Microsoft confirm that they would never ring anyone.  The website he was working from is LogMein123.com.  He was trying to con me into buying firewall protection.  He operates on the premise that many people won't be very IT literate. Do not give him any personal information or bank/credit card details.

Had a silent call from this number just after ten o'clock this morning.

my partner had a call today from this number saying they were from windows and the lady was being very forceful to get my partner to go log on the computer. They said they had received information from a satellite regarding harmful files. She got a bit stressed when my partner didnt co operate. she had a very strong indian accent and she didnt know any details about us. we live in greater london so be warned.
