Got a call today from this number.  Oriental sounding lady told me she had obtained my number from BT.  I said that was rubbish and asked for her name, company name and telephone number.  I heard her tell someone in the background that I wanted the telephone number and company name and then a man's voice told her just to hang up and the line went dead!

That is right, they are trying to pretend to fix the problem to get your bank details but also plant a virus that logs everything you do on your PC, every username and password will be passed on to them.

This is up and running again!!! I had call an hour ago by some bumbling Asian saying he worked for windows and my pc had sent them anerror message so he wanted to sort it!!! I told him mine was with a reputable company and to f off!!!!! I couldve fell for it a few weeks ago while having probs but the idiot on the line couldnt get his words out he was so nervous!!!!!

No one there when you answer and then a recorded "good bye".

Called me on easter monday and in broken english told me he was from microsoft,don't think he liked my responce as he hung up..hope they call again.pmsl.

i have had a call today he said he was from microsoft i told him i was not interested as i had had calls before.

i called the number back but it was unabotainable

Just had a call from this number calling apparently from Global Maintenance at Microsoft saying I have a  problem on my computer and actually quoting me the supposed serial number of my computer - I wondered what he was going to want me to do so I let him drivel on for a while but eventually he was asking me to go and open the "run" and then type in cmd on my computer - I thought that it was about time to call a halt and put phone down - I was immediately called again which I ignored - obviously a scam so please beware nobody is going to ring you with a problem so just ignore all such calls please.

Numerous calls regarding computer viruses, asked not to call again several times

I've had several calls telling me my computer has been hacked or has a virus. I keep them talking for a few minutes then tell they have called a police station and the call is being traced.They are not long in hanging up.

Have had  3 or more callls from this no each time saying i was due a refund ha ha. windows  must know about this as they say they are calling from their refund depy???????

Usual stuff - IT rubbish.  Will report.

had this number call me i waited for them to speak first but nothing, so i shouted speak to me, then a bit of silence then clicking so i put the phone.

Allegedly a survey... I couldn't be bothered. ... Time wasters. They didn't get as far as Finding out what Operatiing System i had.

Unbelievably this is still going on in 2013 with calls from the same number.

Thankfully, if you miss the call and try to phone it back BT no longer recognise the number but if you answer you'll still get the same scam.

Got a call from 02538020308 telling me I had a computer problem, I asked which one he told me all. As soon as I asked him to tell me which one and mentioned fraud he hung up. It was an asian speaking man and very difficult to understand.

I've just had a call from this number.  Asian lady, mispronouncing my surname, said she wasn't selling anything and she was from UK Today.  She started to ask if my postcode was B... but I said I wasn't interested and hung up.

Another Asian scammer. Do these idiots think people are stupid?  This muppet asks for someone in my household who died on March the 4th. I will trace these [***].

Got a call from this number today, no one there, wish they would [***]

got this call 9.50 pm on 30th april,claiming to be western union said I had paid £200 for computer services. they had my full name ,address and email address they wanted to repay the money. I told them to send me a cheque in the post ,the reply was I needed to fill in a claim form told them to send it in the post and I would fill it in and return to them, at this point they wanted to do everything online I said that I no longer had a computer the reply was  OK BYE and they hung up .   A SCAM METHINKS......................

Well done.  This looks like an extension of the computer virus scam.  Most people are aware of that scam now, so the pickings must not be as good, so they are branching out.  If you had fallen for it they would have wanted your bank details to "repay the money".  Yeah right!
