In China and received a miss call from this number an hour ago on my Australian number.

I missed the call at 10.30am this morning but it went to voicemail. It was a pre-recorded message in Chinese. The only word I recognised was Beijing! I tried to call the number throughout the day and it is constantly engaged.

I got the same call today as well. The guy spoke  Chinese and claimed he was  from Chinese embassy. He tried to ask if you were applying visa for the purpose of fishing your passport details. Spam!!!

Received a call, couldn't understand what she was saying but it was a machine. As it kept repeating.

I got this call today , didn’t answer it , replay voice msg sounds like Chinese embassy , says import notice  need me pick up ?! but today is Saturday
Besides , they should have my mailing address if they are genuine ,called number listed on official website , nobody answered phone , possibly scam number , heard about overseas phone fraud group story before ....

Got a call saying it was from Canberra and didn't answer, the voicemail was in Chinese and according to google it is the Chinese embassy in Australia

Google the number 02 6228 3948 and it came up as a Chinese scam I didn't answer the call so I'd advise you not to answer it

Based on a quick reverse domain lookup it seems like some sort of scam targeting chinese speakers in foreign countries, I don't speak the language so I'm not entirely sure how but they have a massive network of websites registered under vaguely official sounding titles that I won't link here so people don't click them. Don't answer, don't call back, they shouldn't be able to reverse charge you in any way but better to be safe than sorry.

Received this call on my mobile  , its using  an  appropriated  number  from the  Chinese Embassy in Canberra and from what I can tell from previous submissions on here , its totally fake and being used to mass call Chinese citizens in Australia to scam them. Unsure how they got my unlisted mobile but all of that can be stolen easily.
Ignore and bloke the number on your phone.

this is tele scam which should have been only targeting on chinese backgrounds...dont know why everyone else been called.
