Called n started jabbering in Chinese.

They have been calling me everyday I can’t get them to stop and they have been calling me on different numbers so I can’t block them WTF

Does anyone called to the chinese embassy to check what is this call about?

This is the scam call (actually they can display in any number). If you answer in Chinese, they’ll lure you by threatening you that you’re involved in a case of money laundering (or alike). To prove you’re innocent you need to follow their instructions but can not let anyone know (they’ll say the case is in top secret), they’ll threaten and calm you several times until you trust them. Then they’ll demand you to install some security software (this is the most important step) so they can monitor your transaction history as evidence. Afterward they’ll ask you to log into your online banking and send you a sms with the security code (this is to gain your authority to add them as admin user of your online banking). Once you read the code to them, they’ll let you log out of the online banking and wait for further notice, at the same time their operating team will start transferring your money out and cashing out in different countries. Your money will be gone in 5 mins and impossible to trace it back.

My mum keeps on getting a call from this number but it's 0262283949 with a 9 on the end not an 8. Same idiot thing keeps on occuring like everyone else here with automatic chinese message. It's either a scam or maybe they are trying to warn of their own kind or inform Chinese people of something about to occur on wide scale in our country. I see less and less Chinese people outside and suspicious of it. Maybe a war will start with China.. ?? Whose knows, maybe they are thinking of dropping a bomb in Australia and they are warning Chinese people to stay away from certain areas.. yes I have crazy imagination
