Scam called... Chinese Language

Chinese Embassy has issued a statement saying that it's scam.

Same as everyone else! Weird call from. Chinese Embassy in Cantonese language. WTF is going on!

I got it too

Received a call from 02 6228 3948. I didn't answer as I wasn't another call. A message was left but it sounded a bit dodgy when I looked up the number to see others are having the same thing happen. Scam

No wonder I think the country is being taken over ny the Chinese

Received the same call today - Easter Sunday.

On Sunday 1st April’18 at 1.48PM got call from 02 6228 3948. I answered and a record Chinese voice message was played and I quickly hung up. Is this scam call? Please investigate.

It says in chinese that i have a very important message from the embassy and to press 9 to hear it

Just received a call in Chinese. Guessing it’s a scam of some sort.

Hi there. I am a Chinese citizen and I received the call today. The message shows it is a call from Chinese embassy. But on the Chinese embassy website it says that the call is fake. The number is the embassy’s number but someone  pretends to call from embassy. Hope this can help

Call was from Sum Tin Wong pretending to be a chinese member from the embassy. Their chinese is very bad. They were reading a chinese menu. Kung Pow Chicken, Dim Sim, Peking Duk and Chow Mein.

Same message. Claims to be from the Chinese Embassy in Australia. Message repeats twice. I thought an April Fools joke.

I returned a missed call to this number and got chineses embassy sounded like an automated call director so pushed 1 and got someone and they said no one should be calling on weekend and someone have faked their number
