Report a phone call from 03007909901 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- MRee replies to robThank you. I received a letter today stating I owed £340 but not saying why. I googled the name of the court and rang their enforcement line as I know I don't any money. It turns out that someone with my name, but different maiden name and who lived 100s of miles away owes for non payment of tv licence. The intel/debt collection people had basically got it wrong and attached my details to this case. I spoke to a really nice lady who went through a few details with me and has flagged up that I'm not the person they're looking for. She didn't think my identity had been stolen, just lazy enforcement. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone with my name got that letter, probably costing more than the initial fine.
I would say definitely don't ignore it, but get a legit phone number online and get it sorted. - Elizabeth JenningsReceived message from HMCTS

- Busisiwe| 1 replyI have had £330.00 deducted from my wages described as Ldn. I called the pay roll office to ask what the deduction was. The pay roll officer said he doesn't know but I should call 03007909901. When I called I found out that it was an automated number and I have no idea what it is for. I will start pursuing the case on Tuesday since Monday is a Bank Holiday.
- Jeeves replies to BusisiweBefore you do anything else ask the payroll office to show you their authorisation to make a deduction from your wages. It is illegal to make deductions from wages without telling the person why they are doing it. There should be more informstion on that authorisation than just a telephone number. I worked in Payroll Departments for over 30 years and we always ensured the person concerned was informed before any deduction was made.
- Khalid replies to AlainInUk| 2 repliesI got a text message today from HMTC to do the payment which i wasnt aware of it shall i contact and pay any suggestion
- EmI got 2 text messages from "websms" one saying <<insertname>> your fine is overdue please call <<insert number>> for account blah blah. Then 2 mins later I got the same text with all my details in. Then yesterday I got a letter with a really bad photocopy of hmtc logo saying the same thing for £275 yet no reason for the fine, just a load of threats if I don't pay. Seems really iffy to me but I'm going to check it out.

- JamesI came across this site after searching PO Box 732, North Shields NE29 1EB, which is the return address on the envelope of a letter addressed to someone who lived at my house over 20 years ago. Adress is the Northumbria Central Enforcement Unit. If it was a scam why would it say if undelivered please return to that address as it would be opened by staff there and the scam uncovered?
- diggerits a scam 100% the letter has been cleverly copied they are banking on you calling to pay over the phone. avoid and share woth as many people as you can
- F replies to Khalid| 1 replyHow did you deal with it?

I phoned the 020 number but apparently the line was too busy! Over 10mins later I just hanged up.
I have never received any letter from them and had no idea I owed any money. And how much in particular. - ., replies to FRead ALL of the past posts, for gawd's sake. (ignore Busisiwe on 25 May 2015)

- michaelI received a letter on 8th Dec, which was dated 1st Dec stating I have to pay £198.34 within 10 days or I will be arrested, taken to court or goods taken away. I called the number 0207556 8500 on the letter for further information and was told to call 0207556 8585 to get more info. This second number could not help and gave me another number 01702 283 860. I called this 3rd number and they kept me waiting on hold for sometime after taking the Div & Account number off the letter.......When he finally came back on the phone he said its something to do with your car and court fine from 2003 but could not tell me anything else.
The letter is really grainy and the logo is certainly a photocopy.
I am not sure what to do now??
No one can advise me of exactly what the expected payment is for?
No one can give me any further information?

- JeffThis happened to me as a text message. Called 03007909901 andgot through to a lad. It asto do with someone called Stephanie and she had given my number to the couts due t some Truency issue.
So the text was legit, but not meant for me. This is he second time this h happened to me, with the same Stephanie name being used.
She obviously has my umber in he head. Godknows how, because I don't know any Stephanies, and my kids are in school.
My suggestion is to call the numberand bear with the queue, because they made a not of my call on the system. If anything comes up in eh futre, at least you show t hae made an effort to rectify it.
Also you wat to mak sure they don't have your address as the bailiffs ould come and star taking your stuff.- Caller: HMCTS

- RobertI received a 'Further Steps Notice' letter dated February 12th 2016 from 'Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service' stating that I owed £700.00+ as a result of my failure to make a previous payment and as a result, one of many possible consequences would potentially occur including having my car taken from me and crushed (I have never owned a car nor a drivers license), that I would be returned to court (of which I have never set foot inside before), or that my goods would be taken as payment, among others. It states that if the payment is made within ten working days none of the written consequences would go forward.
The letter includes my first and surname in upper case letters, my home address and my birth date next to the word 'Born:' instead of 'Date of Birth' or 'D.O.B.', which to me sounds as if the person who wrote the letter was failing at English. Also listed was a division number and account number.
The telephone numbers listed were 0300 790 9901, and 01633 645112 (a Newport number) which is strange as the listed address is a Swindon PO Box, and the post stamp on the envelope said Port Talbot.
On the footer of the letter is again my first and surname, and the date February 15th, contradicting the previously mentioned February 12th.
On the reverse of the letter is a summary of different ways to pay the fine such as by phone (0300 790 9901), online (www.gov.uk/pay-court-fine-online), or by direct debit.
As well as this letter, another is included acting as a sort of leaflet with more ways in which to pay the fine however included in this letter is an option for an 'Allpay Card'. Which in this forum has been debunked by the Ministry of Justice as they stated they would never accept that a fine be paid in this manner.
Aside from everything else, the letters themselves just look shoddy. The HMCTS logo on the top left corner of the page is blown up and faded to the point or illegibility, and the same goes for the accompanying letter. Speaking of which, the accompanying letter has a phone number and website link to follow that contradicts that of the ones given on the main letter.
Unable to speak to them until Monday morning at 9AM, not sure if I even want to attempt to contact the number in case it just brings on more harassment. Nevertheless, it's looking like this is a scam, I hope that this helps anyone suffering from similar incidents in the past, and as soon as I either confirm or deny if this is in fact a scam I will post again tomorrow. - Robert- Caller: Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service
