Its from maybank. they ask to activate my credit card and offered me rm50 cash back :D

Just receive a call from this number today. Stating it's from HSBC asking me to go for an interview.

But today I got a call from them asking me to go for an interview for HSBC...@@

yes its from maybank, under credit card department, sometimes to check on authorization of other currencies payment such as paying in USD using paypal.

Ignored 2 consecutive calls from this number. Immediately browsed the number on this website. I've read this thread from the 1st until 8th pages. I can guarantee it's from maybank since the past days I've made few PayPal transactions to Europe, and probably they want to confirm the transactions made was under my consent. Will wait another call if any to do so.

It's from Maybank alright. If you did not manage to pick up the call. Just call back their call centre. As Roger mentioned , they just want to get your consent if that was actually you. In my case , I did use the credit card for Paypal (just like in Roger's case above)

My recommendation is to call back , as you may never know about who managed to get your card and to use it !

I have received this call from this no on 30/7/2017 at around 11.00pm. Actually why they want to call me at very late night? I just check through online to make sure it is from some agency/department

Confirming whether did I make any PayPal transaction this morning charging my maybank acct. That's all. No verification being made just yes or no. Strange!

its from maybank credit card dept. offering me to increase my credit card limit
