Annoying sales calls from this number
Some dodgy business???

If anyone receives a call from these people - call your provider and ask that they remove your number from the marketing database and not give out your number "under any circumstances".

grrrr just got a call from this bloody number. my ex brother in law had referred me for it. I've just sent a message blasting him for doing so. I got them to hang up on me so hopefully they will remove me from their bloody list

I keep getting calls from them, they are scammers! They keep telling me my number has been specially selected (can't tell me how they got my number) .. they tell me I get a free lap top or mobile .. and go on with a heap of rubbish in a really strong Indian accent that I couldn't understand and when I told them I was not interested they got cranky with me.

I hung up on them numerous times and they kept calling back. I have joined the Do Not Call register and I have also made a complaint to the Australia Communications and Media Authority. Hopefully that will stop them calling.

Suggest you do the same!

It is a company called VIPtel Mobile. Selling maobile phone plans. They are useless billing me when I never signed up with them.

Have used Vip tel once before but found the bill was always higher than what i reakon i used

Supposedly a Robert from VIP Mobiles was given my name by a fictitious Amanda Barnes...Robert got annoyed and gave up after i repeated that i have no idea who this Amanda was

Been getting calls from this number the past few days, but there does not seem to be anyone on the other end of the line.  Quite a bit of background noise though.  Its getting really annoying at this point!!  How would I block this number?

i got a call from this number and left a blank voice mail...sounds like a scam call center

They just called me. Dude from India, saying I won a brand new phone, and offered to send it to me when I give them my home address. How stupid do they think people are. They didn't say my name just "are you the owner of this phone". After seeing all these complaints I'm glad I went with my gut. SCAAAAM.

Just got a call from this company, instantly knew this was dodgy as I work for a reputable teleco in Australia.  I couldn't understand the rep who has called me, I told him I wasn't interested and he pulled out the friend/family member trick!  I then googled the number to see who it was and found this site, I then googled viptel and found the following information:

You can deal with unwelcome calls in Australia by registering with the "Do Not Call Register"

Got a call from them today. And decided to try and sell the chick that was on the phone to me a phone. Then she tried to sell me one. So I got abusive. Then she is like you're one of those people that make my day hell go get a life. So I abused her some more and asked to speak to her manager. Then she began to cry and then hung up. Bummer really wanted some phones.

Yeah, got a call from them the other day, answered it and they hung up. Only thing I have done in the last week to give out my mobile no. is to put a query on the net asking for someone who is selling a car to contact me. Won't be answering again from these scum bags. Thanks for alerting me!
