I have received a call from this numberon my land line no messgae just the dial tone however as I have received a number of nusiance calls I did not ring it back.

i just had one but the person who sent it must know me as im ex directory (was sent to landline) and the message was about something quite specifically about me. so not always a scam, in my case a person with a grudge and a nasty temperament!

I have recevied a voice text message delivered from land line 01473 242371 that I need to respond too - Can you help me identify who sent the message?

I had this today. My mum is in hospital and I called my auntie from the work phone to say shes ok.  I then got a call from 07953 966066 with a text message from my Auntie.  It did come through twice a few minutes apart but it was a genuine message for me, i susepct she just sent it twice ;)

had about 30 automated calls from 07953966066 saying i have a message from a number which is blank.and to call the above number, which i have not, thinking it is a scam. a friend has just rang to say while cycling he accidently sent lots of blank messages to our home phone. he is with t-mobile and the automated message is from them. good to get to the bottom of it. so not a scam

07953 966 066 is O2 according to BT it is when someone with an O2 mobile phone tries to text but by mistakenly texts a/your landline.

this number rang me left a message but couldnt understand what they were saying it was muffled didnt bother ringing it back

Had a call from this number left on my 1571 service.  It said to call the 07953966066 number back from my landline.

I'm ex-directory and signed up for the TPS service so don't know where they got my number from.

I won't be doing that, I don't call mobiles from my landline.

Got a call from 07953966066 went and phoned it back it just had an answer message saying you have no messages don't cll it had another one like this which I reported last year.

just started getting these messages,,,carnt work out from all the comments if its a scam, or a genuine number used to deliver txt messages from certain provider???? can someone please clear it up,,,? the messages are annoying more than anything,

i had t/c from 07953 966066. msge from 07504617769 and somebody saying SA??? or word to that effect. was then informed to ring 07953 966066 to delete. i have not done so yet.

These started last week, now seem to be getting them in batches of 2 or 5..this morning they started at 5am!! So getting rathed peed off with them to say the least.
What surprised me was that the beginning of this stream of complaints started on this site back in 2007.
Have rung BT and got the same answer as many others ring 0800 587 5252 choose option 5 and switch text messaging off entirely.  I'll let you know if it works.

no its not a scam, I was testing my new mobile and did a text voicemail test to my landline, then about an hour later this number called me, tried again same thing happened.

there are free phone numbers direct to bt to help 08000777771, 0800443311 and 0800800150

Got a call from 07953966066 just like 10min ago and it said that i have a voicemail from them (on my house phone?!) , message says "Who is this?" ........scam?

I Got that number a few times but i just reject it and don't answer it but BT are going to block it after the Holiday, don't answer it as it is a scam and it is a T-Mobile number. Eric.

Duh! How thick are some people? It's NOT a scam, it's T-mobile's text to landline service. If you send a text to a landline number from a T-mobile phone, it doesn't get delivered directly to the phone, you get this recorded message asking you to ring this number, where you get the message. Now stop with all the scam / conspiracy theories.

MIL collection. Send text messages to landline asking for you call one of the following numbers:-

07983 782 311
07953 966 066.

Their messages end with MIL TR1 9BL.

This debt collection agency disclosed the name and address of the actual debtor to me which clearly shows what a shoddy company they are.

It would appear I have a similar tel no to the person they are actually chasing, however, their staff member said I was a liar and he could tel that I was the person they wanted and was just making excuses!
