Wednesday 16/11/2011 got a -' Test message ' garbled and repeated twice, then told if you wish to stop these calls dial **** but I did'nt get the number so did'nt dial.  Dialing 1471 gave  -  07953 966 066

got this this morning (01.37) :@ its when somebody texts your landline from a mobile basicly the number in question acts as the number for them then it reads out wht the sent

Had a garbled call from these today asking to call back on another number with all the names and dates of birth of my grandchildren!!!!!!! Needless to say didn't,Who the hell are these morons

Got a call at 5.30am and left the answer machine to deal with it.
The message was a robotic voice telling a joke and asking me to
phone another mobile number to get a repeat of the message.
I didn't do it!

This is just someone who has sent you a text message to your home phone by mistake or as I joke as my husband often does, no need to worry. It's the T mobile network. Try it for yourself.

I have had a message from this number, but it sounds like a text and all we could make out was 'to all the men who can handle it?'

A telephone number 0791361728 keep calling with a message telling us to dial 07953966066 to cancel any future texts.  The first came at midnight, so we have barred calls between 2300-0700 hrs, and have just spent ages on the line to my landline supplier trying to get them to stop the calls, or commit to refunding any charges incurred if we dial the number - but reading this thread that sounds like a waste of time.  Will try to the suggesion of calling 0800 587 5252 option 5 to see what happens, but seems like this scam went away for 3 years and has just started again

i had a few calls from this number in the last hour saying you have no new messages that was all it said

Was just called on my office phone from a number where an automated message left a message, that she was snowed in with 5cm of snow (it snowed here last night in Scotland) and then it went very garbled.

it asked me if i wanted to stop these messages to call 07953966066 .. which i won't .. but i will keep an eye on this .. and as others have said already, this is a poor way of scamming folks who are not so keen on researching this before they actually call the number back

I was told that 'Aunt Teresa has died and her funeral is on friday'   I don't have an aunt teresa. -.-

had a recorded message to call this number earlier today - logged at 12.57.  Sounded 'official' but no message so haven't responded.  We've also received a growing number of calls regarding pc problems - coincidence?

just received a phone call (its12.20am) from tis number ,it was a call to tell me I had a text message when th message played it was a dirty joke (not even funny one) stupid time to call people I only answered because its only family that have my number !!!!!!

this message was sent at 2:00am and it said i had a meeting and they will give me money to buy cheese string knicker and lipstick!!! just stupid

Just recieved a text from 07953966066 informing me that my text was delivered to 02088765331. Odd and pointless.

i also got a call from this number asking me to reply as i was being invited to a surprise party ..the caller spoke very badly so couldnt understand it very well ...i just ignored it but is very annoying ........

Received a call from this number at 0254 this morning. Was fast asleep so took me a while to figure out what was going on and didn't answer it before it could go through to 1571.

Was worried as generally when someone phones at that time of the day - it's normally bad news and I had been to see my nan yesterday as she is extremely poorly.

However, when I listened to 1571, it was a recorded message just telling me to ring 07953966066. Thought it seemed dodgy, so didn't call it and haven't taken any further action for now - just hoping it doesn't ring again.

I received a call from this number at 0320 this morning. Started off by saying would attend the office today and then became garbled something about bringing a byzantine file.   I was distressed by this call as elderly parent and normally time for bad news to be delivered.

The voice message was "the office is now manned and can we call back"  OR SIMILAR

I have received calls from this number at one in the morning and 4 in the morning with some garbled txt message. I phoned the number back and got into an answer machine. I work shifts and dont need woke up at all hours and if anyone can shed any light on this I would be grateful as I have a suspicion its some kind of scam.

The phone rang at 0300 this morning, as I have a terminally ill sister I nearly broke my neck sprinting downstairs to answer it; you can imagine how p****d off I was to find no-one on the phone, a recorded  message about a text service and a mobile number that has no link to a person or organization that I can complain to. If I find where the call came from someone will be receiving a telephone enema!
