I received one yesterday. Googled the number and it led me to this site. Received another this morning . I just put phone down. I am ex directory so wonder where they are getting my number?

Had a message that was unintelligible and gave me a mob number to call back to hear the message

Dialed 1471 to find the number that called me which is the one mentioned above.

Didn't call either of them but googled to find out what it was in case its a scam.

I will just ignore it and hope I don't get pestered.

Just had a call at 3am from this number, when I called it back it was something about a text message service.

I realise that many people have pointed out that this is nothing more sinister than a "text to voice" message, and the one that I received twice in the space of about ten minutes, seemed innocuous enough: "Paul, I am home.  Keep in touch. Pete [possibly]".  But considering their are pages of comments about people getting such messages, it strikes me that this person must be the world's crappiest dialler to get so many wrong numbers.  I didn't call the number back as the message suggested, I just blocked it.

The number is that of the sevice, not of the person making the incorrect call.

Not a scam. I received a text message from my daughters Virgin Media mobile on this number. Computer generated voice makes message difficult to understand though. Message came in two parts, 10 mins apart, as well !!

I received a couple fo calls from this number today. When I rang back, it was a message from a friend, who had texted my landline. It is a perfectly genuine service, though of course there may be people who abuse it, or send text messages to the wrong number by accident.

Keep ringing the home line and when answered a voice message says you have a text message from the number reported. Message is"I didn't receive the money"
I haven't responded to the message or tried calling the mobile number but this number keeps texting my home number. Hhhhhhhaaaaaaaa

Your message is merely a text message sent to your landline and converted to speech so you could receive it, but because it is text-speech often the message is often garbled and not always easy to understand!. The Mobile telephone number the message came from could be a friend or relative etc.(It possibly could be from someone trying to sell you something) so if you don't recognise the mobile number just search for it  and make your own informed decision to either respond or not...

But 07953 966066 It is not a hoax call..

But 07953 966066 in itself is not a hoax number!.. I received around 7 or 8 perfectly genuine messages from friends which I ignored until a friend asked me why I didn’t reply to the message!..

Received as a text message from a number we do not know . The message uncluded senders number so why instruct to ring 07953966066 ?

I got a garbled message this morning from this number along the lines - "  its your cousin Jane, have lost your new address, please ring me or send a text  message."
Have taken the option now on the landline to stop any text messages - option 5 at BT help/

I have had 7 calls from this number so far today,  damn right annoying

We kept getting calls from this number at random times during the day to our housephone.  What i dont understand is when we pick up, its an automated woman on the other end saying we have a voice message from a known number but via imo. Imo is a messaging app which my mum downloaded on her mobile (bit like whatsapp but rubbish because random people can add you). Why does it ring the house if theres a message on my mums mobile?? Uninstalled the app, hopefully the calls will stop.

It is an 8pm call on to my landline. ..leaving a garbled message to call back....as it's mobile, naturally I don't!

Just received this call on the landline, intuition stopped me from answering it even though it's our business phone. It left a message repeating the mobile number 07953 966066, I guess wanting me to call back. From what I see on this report and other websites it has been going on for years! The best thing everyone can do is to report it to the ICO and OFCOM and Action Fraud in the hope that something will be done. Although registered with TPS they don't do a thing, complete waste of space with no clout.
