It's an automated txt service to enable landline numbers to receive a txt from a mobile. No worries on this one!

The calls come through as a text message, it was hard to hear but i believe it was something about my bank, BT know of these bad callers why dont they put a stop to whats going on .

Received a garbled message on my land line (I have TPS) asking me to ring 07953966066
recorded by the sound of it - odd so obviously didn't ring back...

landline rang this morning, answerphone kicked in and caller hung up.  30 seconds later rang again, answerphone kicked in and automated voice said I had received a text message from (above number) and the message was "apologies - dialled in error".  sounded a bit weird - if you got someone out of bed to answer a call and then hung up, why do it again to apologise?  got up later and rang 1471 and searched on here.

Received call on 1571 allegedly at 10.12am today.  Just said number - no instructions.  Sounded like a computer generated lady like you get on typical answerphone instructions.  Whatever the return call costs don't do it!  Tell your kids to block this number.
*****I wonder if this is just validating numbers ready for another blast of calling by selling the confirmed call list - if you call them back perhaps they can assume you consent to them/their associates calling you again?****

This number called my landline at 19.56 I didn't answer it. Reading through some of the comments I won't answer if it rings again! My husband is 90yrs old, these scumbags have no conscience whatsoever.

I received a so called text message from this number this morning(13th,Oct 2015)at 9.55 am - so I checked and called  0800 587 5252 who told me that there was a  24 hour ban imposed on text messages on my phone - just what does one need to do to get rid of these nuisance calls???????????????????

Started getting repeated messages from this today

Called twice in a few minutes some sort of recorded message

They leave no message

Apparently we have signed up for what ever this system is does anybody know how to cancel it please

I got home today to find 3 messages waiting on my landline answerphone.  All were identical recordings of a female voice which had the first part of the message cut off, but said "I repeat, please call 07953 966066" without giving any reason.  Needless to say, I didn't - but I am very concerned to see how many YEARS this whocallsme thread has been going!   Surely someone by now has taken action to stop this nuisance?

Having read much earlier posts here, some of which suggest that this is a genuine messaging service, i decided to risk 30p and call the number.  The first recorded message said "You have 3 messages", but each time I pressed the key to hear one, all i got was a brief sound then another recording saying "That was the last message" ; even for the first one.
I don't know what to make of that.  No-one I know ever texts me, and I'm sure that if someone I know needed to contact me so urgently that they sent three messages within the space of one hour, they would just pick up the phone and CALL me, instead of making 3 attempts at sending a text.  It has the feel of someone making money from getting people to ring the number.

I got a call off this number at 5 to midnight last night  I didn't answer it then at 7 this morning  I answered and  cut it off quick l so annoying  ii got suspicious

I received a text from this number saying 'you better watch out'

I also had a call like that. About five minutes later there was another delivering a voice message. The message was 'ula'!! I don't usually pick up when I don't recognise the number, but was worried that it might be one of the family calling from a strange number for some reason. What kind of people are these??!!😬

Someone has sent a text to your landline by mistake and this is an automated voice telling you the message.
