Just got a text from this number stating that a text i had sent (which i hadn't) would be delivered after 7am as to avoid disturbing the receiver.  They claimed that they were from EE

"Hi (my first name) I have just given your number to my daughter." It then went on to say I needed to dial this number from my landline with instructions of what I should do. The number was repeated several times. Having paid for minutes on my mobile, I called the number from it. I was to told me that to leave a name I had to send it to a different (short) number. At this point I suspected a scam. Although the message had my first name there was no caller name nor name of the daughter. Immediately checking online seems to have confirmed this. I guesss they are making money from the sending of the name. BE WARNED and I suggest you ignore.

Called with strange message on Automated message

They have phoned three times with in the space of an hour leaving a text message today firstly asking how we are and thinking of you and ring you later, then again saying something about having a bungalow inspection and not been happy then again about the joys of been a council tenant.

I knew it wasn't normal as it plays the message then tells me the number that called repeats it then says to stop getting them etc to ring this number back I am beyond mad worrying thing is my mom is sick so I reckon they found it out wich would explain the first message. Also when I press the answer phone button suddenly there is no message recorded or it just repeats the number to phone.

Would love to get my hands around their throats as they are taking up the phone line when I'm Waiting for an import call.

Just had a call from this number, it was not a scam, it was one of my idiot mates sending a text message to my landline number instead of my mobile. The electronic voice is reading text so sounds a bit garbled.

Had this number 3 times within 10 minutes this morning on my ansaphone. No idea what it's about.

just had a phone call at 17:19 from this number saying they were "Stuck in Worcester traffic" and were "on there way XXX"

This number is repeatedly calling us. Very annoying.

Is it a scam stop them from calling me ASAP!

Received message on my landline from this number - wishing me Happy New Year ... but the message was worded in the way of a recently deceased friend so really upset me. It's as if someone is picking out previous messages and sending them. Clearly it is malicious and of course I won't phone the number back.

I do NOT want your service. Stop.it immediately or I will contact Ofcom

Because website like 800notes didn't.
We just provide place for people, where to post suspect phone numbers and compare with other people.
So stop to be baby and take care of your non wanted calls yourself. Block them, or stop answering unknown phone calls.

Message received at 07:30 on a Sunday morning saying 'How are you today?'. Did not reply, obvious scam.

New tactic to me. Sending text messages to my work mobile stating EE could not deliver my text message to 01512907776.

Instant block list as there was no name on the number used to call me.

This is genuine. I discovered why when I accidentally sent 20 rubbish "texts" from my mobile phone to my landline from my pocket! I ended up with 20 corresponding incoherent voice messages on my landline. Here's why:  If you text a landline from a mobile the landline rings and a "voice" reads the message. If you text a landline from a mobile with unintelligible characters the "voice" can't interpret it and you are urged to call that number where you will then hear the garbled attempt. It sounds suspicious but if the text is readily interpreted by machine there will be no problem.

I received a call on 29 January 2018 at 12:41 from 07953 966066.  They left a recorded message which said "966066 - that number again 07953 966066 - please ring" or words to that effect.  The first part of the message was obviously missing.
