Why are these idiots phoning me and not saying a word, these idiots are a complete waste of time ....

I just had this number call me and when I answered there was just music. Only a handful of family and friends have my number and I am with Virgin so I guess it probably is them, trying to get me to sign up to something. Sort it out Richard Branson!!!!!!!!!!

This number rang my mobile today & yesterday, & also has done several times in the last few months.  The strange things is, my mobile is on T-mobile - nothing to do with virgin.

I didn't say anything & neither did anyone on the other end, so I'm not sure if it was a person or a computer.  I phoned the number back from a different phone (my land line) & withheld the number.  It said it was a virgin answering machine.  Next time I will speak & see what happens.

These prats have been calling me on and off for a couple of months,usually I don't answer, or get no reply.  Once I did speak to them and it was Virgin trying to get me to sign up to their phone and broadband (I just have Virgin TV). Really annoying and justs puts me even more off getting any more Virgin services.

Very persistent and annoying. Call my mobile numerous times a week and at stupid hours, like sunday mornings and 9pm on the week nights.

I usually just ignore it now, but if it doesn't stop then I will be cancelling my Virgin BB.

Next time they call I am going to tell them to 0121.

Yep, me too, line dead then music, no one there!

We have had this number call us a couple of times with dead air as well. Tonight my husband got to speak to some one, and then the line went dead. We called the number back and got a recorded message that said it was Virgin Media.

So we called Virgin Media. They confirmed no one had called us in the month of November. So who ever is calling is not connect to Vigin Media. They are calling on our landline so we have to put up with the calls.

When I rang the number back later there was a message saying that Virgin Media probably called and they will ring back some other time.

I rang the customer services number. They said that there had been no calls to me about the account and that it was probably a cold call from the sales team. I told them that I do not want to be cold called, they apologised and said they would put a note against my number.

My grandmother's been getting phonecalls from this number for the past 3 days, but she's an Orange customer and never been with Virgin :S
She's never answered though.

I have 2 mobile phones, 1 is my regular number i use all the time,(contract with O2) the other is a spare that i keep to very few personal friends, but i get calls on the latter one from 08000 135333...how did they get it???

This number has been calling me on and off for a year now, and yesterday it called me 9 times - I have never answered of course. Though I cannot be sure that it really is Virgin Media, Virgin Media should most certainly do something about this. If they are trying to lose customers, this is the way to go.

Guys, this is pure harassment. I suggest we start thinking seriously about taking actions.

this number calls me constantly daily, its driving me insane, i have a young baby and i dont need continous disturbances.................do they stop??

I suggest people bar this number as it is obvious it's just a nuisance.

Calls me constantly too and I only answered it once the first time it called about 6 months ago. Silence. Called my mobile operator (3) to have it barred from calling me-they said they couldn't do a call barr ( liers ) They did say though if you have a Sony Ericson mobile, there is a function to barr it yourself by a 'call list'. Unfortunately I have a Nokia. If someone knows how to do it on a Sony Ericson, post it for others to use!!

This one calls me quite often but I never answer.  You'd think they'd get the message eventually!  I use Virginmedia broadband and they probably got my mobile number from my sign-up documents. They're probably hoping to sell me a mobile phone contract. They won't.

To receive unsolicited sales calls, at home in the evening is infuriating and an invasion of my privacy.
The person I spoke to refused to give me their name or their telephone number, or the company they work for.
They then hung up when I asked to speak to a manager.
I keep asking to be removed from their telephone lists - they keep telling me they will do this and then I get more calls.  How can I put a stop to these calls?

I got my first call from this number this morning on our landline (we are virgin media internet, tv and landline customers). However, we do not have caller id so I answered unsuspectingly.
There was a slight pause before a girl asked for my partner by name. I said he was unavailable and she said "ok".
I asked if she wanted to leave a message but she said "no message"
When I asked if I could have her name to let him know who had called him, I got no response so I presumed the line was dead.
I hung up.
I then tried to dial 1471 to find out who it was seeing as she didn't leave a message, only I couldn't get a dial tone so I guess the line was still connected. I uttered some profanity just incase she was still there and hung up again.
I eventually got a dial tone and dialled 1471, got this number and found this link on google.
If it is Virgin Media, I am looking forward to playing their games.
Nobody can play telephone games quite like myself!!!!

This kind of thing amounts to harassment If you're sure you know who it is, report them. You will need to log every call for a good length of time.

just got a call from this number also... but again like many before me by the looks of it... no one answers
