    Rings me every couple of days, during the week, while I'm at work, and never at a time when I'm on my break, never leave a message, and searching google, it looks to be Virgin Media, I am there mobile customer for 8 years now

    Got called by this number twice in 2 minutes. When I answer no one is at the other end. I am not a customer to Virgin either.

    This number rings me once or twice a day - when I answer there is only music!  I am a virgin customer, but they tell me they can't stop the number ringing me.  Help!!

    Caller claimed to be calling from Virgin Media, wanting to discuss my account with them. I explained that I will not continue the call as it was unsolicited. The person claimed to be called Gemma, but would not give me a surname, extension number or reference.

    I then called customer services and they advised me that nobody had accessed my account and that the call may have been bogus.

    I explained that I would never discuss any of my details with an unknown caller and that if they needed to contact me for some reason, they would have to write to me.

    The guy in customer services was very helpful, and advised that a phishing scam was currently underway whereby emails purporting to be from Virgin Media are sent out asking people to fill in their "details", Virgin will not send any such emails so please be careful!

    This number calls me on average 3 times a day,now I just ignore it,it's a pain

    I keep geting called by 0800013533 was called 11 times the other day. When I first answered it went to an answer machine but I didn't listen to the message. I've never been a Virgin customer so my advice would be to ignore it. I've given the number a caller ID of "do not answer" so I know straight away it's the same number calling. Does anyone know if there are charges associated with this if you do happen to answer?

    Called me twice today, i couldnt hear them properly so i told them to do one.

    I phoned vergin they said there is nothing wrong with my account, they dont know that as a number they use and as far as they care everything is a ok with my account billing and so on. They Advised it could have been a Survey of some sort but he wasnt sure.

    Next time they ring ill give them fake details and see what happens, ill post it here the out come.

    This number has rung me twice so far today - when I answer no-one responds, then it hangs up shortly afterwards. I am a Virgin Media customer, but only for a few more weeks (as I recently served notice on my account). Suspect it's a semi-automated test service to check whether the telephone number is still active (as received similar calls previously, but with music at the other end, when a new Virgin Media line was installed).

    pain in the .....  keep getting this number 08000135333  i have sent virginmedia a email about this number...still waiting to see whats in the email.Phones then puts phone down..then phones right after and then puts phone down again..when i phone them back it says ''hello you had a call from virgin media''  still not sure if it is virgin media or not.

    I just Googled this number as it's rung me twice in the last ten minutes and found this page. It rings, I answer and moments later it's dead. I have just requested a number transfer of this line from Virgin Media over to Vonage, but I still have other services with Virgin Media.

    when called back an automted system says virgin media tried calling and will call back
    will not let you leave a message, i havent been a virgin media customer for nearly a year now due to awful service and customer service even worse

    we had this number calling us a lot then being quiet when answered.
    it was definitely virgin media.
    i recently arranged a downgrading of my services and the call was the retentions department calling me to try and make me stay.
    i mentioned the annoying phone calls to him and he said it was their dialler and that they're getting a new system soon (but by virgin standards that could be any time).

    He actually sorted me out with a better deal so i don't really mind!

    I got this call a couple of times. I just ignored them in the beginning. When I called it back, and it was saying that it is from Virgin Media and could not get your call. They would call me back within a couple of days. Again!!

    It was a real pain.

    Soon to be EX-Virgin Media customers!
    This number just rang our line. When I said 'Hello?', all I got was dead air, so I left the line open, and put the phone down on my desk. A minute later, I hear a 'Hello? May I speak to..'

    No.

    If the outbound call centre agent couldn't figure out/wasn't trained properly enough to know that by the time they hear the 'beep' from their headset indicating that the called party has already answered, and it's THEIR turn to speak, then they don't get to talk to me.

    I don't waste more than 1 'Hello?' on an unsolicited phone call.

    My guess is that they were calling to try to get us to change our minds about the cancellation of all our Virgin Media services. Not a chance! Dealing with NTL / Virgin Media has been a continuing saga of disappointment and frustration, and I'll be glad to be rid of them.

    In fact, if you Google the phrase 'NTL / Virgin Media: A continuing saga of disappointment and frustration', you get some interesting results indeed.

    This number rang our house tonight at 6:23 pm. Just dead air when I answered.

    Phone rings AGAIN, a minute later -- again, nothing but dead air.

    Won't someone please teach these VM phone monkeys to SPEAK when someone answers the phone???
