Report a phone call from 08000135333 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Always Just Dead Air..This number called our line today at 11:32 am. There was only dead air when I answered, and then the line cut out.
These are nuisance calls, why doesn't Virgin Media stop doing this to people???- Caller: Virgin Media
- spacemonkeyReceived a silent call from this number.
Rang Virgin Mobile, got passed onto Virgin Media whereby the customer service rep informed me that this was a Virgin Media number but not a autodialer that dialed the number.
I then explained how when I phoned the number I got through to a answer machine, if I phone someones number I should get through to the person who called, thus the number was called by a autodialer.....right....
Ofcom have new rules concerning this, the one that interested me was the one saying, when a autodialer calls x number of people with y real operators able to take the calls then the silent calls where no operators are able to take the call, within 2 second you have to receive an automatic message informing you who was calling.
And they cannot call back within 72 hours, if they do it must be made with a real person on the end waiting for you to pick up...
if I get another silent call then all hell is gonna break out :p- Caller: Virgin Media
- Not ImpressedSince Feb 4th, we have received 19 calls from this number, usually only dead air.
The Virgin Media account holder was home to answer the 19th call, yesterday, and told them TO STOP CALLING.
Did they stop calling?
If you think they did, you know nothing about Virgin Media.
We received our 20th call from this number this morning. Dead air again. How lovely, and altogether unsurprising.- Caller: Virgin Media
- r crokerthese people are a pain in the butt, have now cancelled my land line with vm
- grrrr-virgin.mobileive got lots of problems with my phone at the moment and one of them is getting this annoying number ringing me.
i also keep getting text from t mobile who i have never been with in my entire life!
and now virgin have decided to stop me receiving picture messages direct to my phone and when i go online to receive them it instantly starts ringing me from that number!
so frustrating!- Caller: virgin media
- DLHI've had three of these in the last few days, it's a pain in the [***]. I'm with Virgin but haven't cancelled anything or changed anything in ages. Don't know why they're calling me. Probably some marketing blumpf.
- Still Not ImpressedWe've gotten 29 calls from this number since Feb 4
On 12 Feb at 16:30, the call actually wasn't dead air! The Virgin Media account holder was home to answer and told them that we are NOT interested in staying with them, and that we COULDN'T even if we wanted to as we are moving to a non-Virgin Media serviced area.
But the calls continued!
On 18 Feb at 16:18, someone was actually at the end of the line instead of the usual dead air. The Virgin Media account holder was home, and told them ONCE AGAIN that we are not moving to a Virgin Media serviced area. He requested ONCE AGAIN that they stop ringing us.
The phone calls seem to have stopped.. (for now???)

20 calls over a fortnight. All to accomplish NOTHING but leave us convinced that cancelling ALL our Virgin Media services was the right thing to do.- Caller: Virgin Media
- Oak TreeThis number calls us several times a day, claiming to be from Capital One and asking for personal details. When these are refused the caller hangs up, will not leave a name etc apart from they are from Capital One. Any ideas as to who this really is would be great because I know it's not Capital One, I've called them to check.
- Caller: Capital One
- AlanReceived a call on my mobile from someone claiming to be from virgin Media and that as a loyal customer I could have a V+ box for £25 one-off installation fee instead of the usual £150 for exisiting customers. Also left a return contact number 0800 052 0203 if I wanted to take advantage of the offer. I called Virgin Media on their listed tel number to clarify if the call was indeed a Virgin Media number and to my surprise they confirmed it was Virgin Media Telesales!
- Caller: Virgin Media - Telesales
- SteveHHave been receiving on average two calls a day for about a month now. I've always ignored them as I figured if it was important they would leave a voicemail. The mobile isn't with Virgin, but we do have other services with them. (Not for much longer though!). Getting the same problem with 08000927206 which I understand is also a Virgin Media number. Virgin Media/NTL struggle to get customers, and then when they do, they seem determined to drive them away... :-/
- AngeThis number called me today and there was no-one there, only music playing.
- Caller: Not known
- DawnAlso just had call from this telephone number on my mobile, I am a virgin mobile customer. when I answered not knowing who the caller was it went straight onto music, I hung up straight away as I dont know if I was going to be charged for it and if it may of been a bogus call?
- Caller: unknown
- ChrisJesus, this number has called me about 8 times today. The first time I answered it but it was just silent, woke me up as well! Thanks for that. I immediately thought of bank accounts or credit card arrears, but knowing all my s*$*s in order this can't be the case. i've worked in a call centre and I know they make it their business (especially when chasing debts) to drive people crazy by bomabarding them with calls, who then? Seems you guys talking about virgin media may have hit the nail on the head. I recently cancelled my deal with them (just the other day) and I reckon it's gotta be something to do with that. Seems this is my punishment. They had better not carry on tomorrow, or I'm gonna have to battle their lame customer services department again. 52 minutes It took to downgrade my deal, 52 minutes! Spoke to 5 different people, none of them with a clue. I'm a patient guy but honestly, they were terrible.

If no service person is available, you'll just get disconnected.
After having been called all afternoon by this number, I eventually got a rep, who only wanted to confirm why I was leaving the company.- Caller: Virgin Media
- MatyushaThis number just rang and a Scottish voice asked for Matthew (which is my name) and when I confirmed it was me, it hung up.
What are they up to? - YUMMYMUUMYYES I GET THIS SILENT CALL, THOUGHT IT WAS A PRANKSTER. LEAVE ME ALONE
- PeterThis number has called at least six times a day every day for the last two weeks. They ask for my dad, who is rarely home when they phone. I tell them when he will be home, but they just ignore me and phone again before the time I told them, often just one or two minutes after I put the phone down.
The few times they have managed to get through to my dad, they ask why we're cancelling our service. He's told them four times now, but they still keep phoning to ask.
I always have to shout "Hello" down the phone three or four times before anyone actually says anything.
My dad phoned Virgin yesterday to complain, and we were told that they're not going to stop phoning until we change our number, and they've been true to their word. Four phone calls in the last two hours. This surely can't be legal. - RincewindYesterday I received roughly 20 calls from this number. Each time I answered there was no reply. Just silence. Today I finally had someone speak to me, when I answered, asking me for my virgin account details which of course I wouldn't give him. I complained to him about the number of times I had received calls from them & he told me that he would take my phone number off of the dialling list.
I then rang 150 & spoke to someone at virgin. She checked my account to see if it had been accessed & it hadn't. I also gave her the number 08000135333 for her to check. After speaking to one of her colleagues she could find nothing on this number from virgin.
Just after finshing my call to her I got another call from 08000135333, whilst I'm writing this, & again I had someone reply. Before he went any further I explained that I'd already had a call from them & spoken to someone who said he'd remove my number from the dialling list. He promised me that he'd remove my number from the list himself. We shall see. - Jill ShepherdThey ring me every day and I refuse to speak to them. Screening all calls with an answering machine helps. I'm a VM customer with phone and broadband but not tv package and I think they're trying to bully me into getting their digital tv package. Not the way to do it I would say and wish there were laws against this sort of harassment. Am registered with the Telephone Preference Society http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/ but the people hassling me have the right to do it it seems because they supply my line!! Sigh......anybody know a good solicitor???
