I've just opened a mobile account with Virgin Mobile. I already had broadband and expected the one account to deal with the bills for both but no, there needs to be 2!!  I phoned 150 in the evening and sorted it out.

The next morning on a SATURDAY at 9:00 am, I get woken by a persistent call from 0800 0135 333. I ignored it as I was asleep. Then it rang again 10 minutes later - and the ringing went on and on. By this time I was wide awake. I called the number back and found it to be a computer.  I was mad and phoned Virgin and bellowed at them. They refused to stop the calls completely as I requested.

I am already registered with the TPS. What else can I do to stop these calls.

Absolutely nothing you can do.           As you are a Virgin customer you have given them permission to call you, so it is NOT an unsolicited call and is also totally outwith the scope of TPS because it is not a sales call.

You need to find intelligent life at Virgin Mobile  (try to get the Philippines call centre as they can quickly do things that the UK and Indian people turn their noses up at) and ask them to change your profile in their records so that you do not receive unwanted calls from them.

Keep in mind that that Virgin Mobile is a phone business and NEVER expect to get any written responses to anything.   Even their Directors think they have a god-given right to phone whenever it suits their convenience.     Their literature says exciting funky stuff like "Hello you" and "Welcome to our Gang" which is pretty much how you will be treated.

You obviously know that "intelligent life" and "Virgin Media" should never be used in the same sentence??

Lol.. i use these sites to see who these numbers are and the amount of moaners i see that are so wound up that they feel the need to swear and say how much they want to do sometging to the person on the other end if the phone. The majority of these types of call backs are down to yourselves. Ask them to remove you and don insert your number into anything unofficial on the internet and it wont happen 3-4 times a day. These guys are only doing their jobs, what they are demanded to do on a daily basis.

This was a recorded message at 8.50 am on a Sunday morning. I don't need disturbing at that hour on Sunday. If they think this will inspire anyone to buy something, they must be mad! Don't know what they wanted just put  the receiver down after 3 words. All I can say in relation to Virgin is that I am a customer, recently contacted them to have caller withheld numbers not put through (paid service) and then next day I called them about V+ box fault. Odd, first time I had this number call me. Its well past time these total nuisances were properly outlawed.

Called me twice already  today  - (Sunday - before 8am )   Surely this can not be Virgin as claimed on this page  even they would respect common decency   _ suspect therefore this is probably a scammer call

Being someone who has insight into outsourcing work to other companies, you guys seriously need to realise that when you call or get calls it generally isn't the company your speaking about.
TV, Telecoms, Shops, they all are doing the same. Starting a contract with an outside company to make and take calls for them. Easier that way than to basically start up a new call centre to cope with the new demand.
If you're dealt with badly then to be honest I don't think your call is being handled by the origin company, but simply a company handling a job for them.
This is why sometimes you notice the same phone number associated with different companies...
    Open your eyes people... Sigh....

This number just called us, we didn't pick up. Date 24Mar2016. Funny that we had just spoken with some Asian call centre people at Virgin Media about tech prob with email (found server was down which was causing the prob). We do not have an account with Virgin Media, but I bet it was them rogue calling us. Too much of a coincidence not to be.
