    I have been getting called by this number since 20th October, and we cancelled Virgin Media last week. I guess that may be why I'm getting it, but I have no idea why all you people would be.

    I too have been receiving daily calls from this number, however I never answer it because I seem to remember either reading or seeing somewhere that you could get charged for calls such as this. Probably not so in this case as it appears to be Virgin Media, nonetheless these types of calls should not be allowed, after all it is no better than 'cold calling' on your doorstep.

    Cancelled Virginmedia contract last Monday and since then have rec'd 8 calls a day from them (as of today that's 80 calls!).  Two each on mobile and landline just after midday and again two each on mobile and landline just after 6pm.  I haven't answered any of them.  Makes me all the more certain that cancelling my Virginmedia contract was exactly the right thing to do. Do they honestly think that by bugging me like this I am going to change my mind??

    Called me this morning. Turns out to be Virgin Media. No idea why they are ringing me as they haven't once rang me and I've been with them for a year now, also my contract is 24 months so it isn't that.. I've recently upped my phone package, but why would they ring for that?

    This number has been calling for sometime now mostly around 16:00hrs (GMT) Monday - Friday. I think judging by the call time involved, the call originates abroad (perhaps the states/Caribbean?).
    In order to ensure they are charged for each call, I have started to cut them off and thus re-directing the call immediately to voicemail (instead of letting it ring), this seems to have stopped the calls........for now!
    A lot of slow learners out there, but guess eventually any company or individual have an 'unsung' limit to how much money they will waste for no gain whatsoever!

    right if this keeps happening phone 151 the free number not the 0904 blah blah blah cost a fortune a min number rant and rave that its an indian call center tell themyour problem all the time telling them its not a fault but they carry on trying to fix your 1471 munber ????? scream that you want putting through to someone in england wait 5 mins with really bob music speak to someone there giving your name and number for a second time to be transfared back to customer services IN INDIA AGAIN rant and rave that its india again give them your name and number again and tell them you will be cancelling all your packages then they will try .... to tell you in thier best english they are sorry and they will take you off the mailing and calling list that should take about 3-4 days then they will be really nice like they have been trained to and ask you if they can help you with anything else lol then jump on a forum like this type everything what has just happened out and sit and wait for the calls to hopfully stop .......

    Virgin Media. They even had the cheek to state that they knew I was registered with the Telephone Preference Service (to discourage unsolicited calls), but then asked whether it really applied to them!

    Have been called by this number many times in the last week. Up to four times a day. Initially when I answered the said they were 'Orange phone services'.
    Now just a dead tone

    Answered this number when it rang tonight. "Robert" knew my name, claimed he was calling from Virgin Media. He informed me that as I have TV, broadband and television from them (This information was correct) that they could offer me their mobile phone service for £0 per month.

    I asked if he was calling from Virgin Media. He confirmed that he was.

    I asked why, if he was calling from Virgin Media, he didn't know that I already had a Virgin Mobile phone.

    He apologosed, offered to update their records and asked me for details of the contract I had with them.

    I told him that if he didn't already have details of my contract then I couldnt be sure that he was from Virgin Media and I ended the call.

    This number has just started calling me.  Couple of times a day the last few days.  I've never taken the call, and it never leaves a message.

    This is a phishing SCAM. The free phone is another way of getting to you. They used 0845 before. The girls voice IS the same and it has had MANY warning about the style of gaining informtion.
    REPORT IT TO VIRGIN.

    This number has just started phoning me at random.  I have a Virgin phone and internet service, so it must be them.  

    I guess unsolicited and irritating autodialled phonecalls are all part of the package.

    Keep getting calls on my mobile from this number. If I answer they hang up. My mobile, broadband and telephone are with virgin already, so if it is them, I am not impressed and would definitely think twice before renewing my contract if this is what they do to customers!
