This is BT. My work phone had a fault on the line and this is the number that they called me in to try and fix it.

This is a genuine BT Customer Support number, I had been expecting the call.

Once or Twice a day

I got a call from someone claiming to be from BT - but in my case, they actually were, and were responding to an email I'd sent them the day before. Strangely enough, it was a genuine call and were actually helpful!

Call from BT repair center giving me an update on the fault I reported 5 days ago. Number seemed legitimate.

that is strange as they rang my mobile and I do not give the number to anyone.

this number called and said it was BT call back and  said it was about my order and to call them on 0800800150. As I havn't ordered anything this is suspicious. I have had a number of these calls in recent weeks. When I contacted BT using my own contact numbers they said it wasn't them.  BEWARE!

Just received a call from this number. They left a message asking me to push one if I was the account number and three if I'm not. Glad I ignored it. PS Account holder to what????

Strange how people have been getting these calls for over 5-years and we're STILL debating whether they are genuine or not.  I've just migrated from BT and got my first two calls from this number today.  First one rang off when I picked up, and I was not at home when the second one came in.  If I ever get to speak to a human on this number I will simply ask them to quote my BT customer reference number.  If they can't, they will be told to kindly go away (or a variation on that theme!).

This is a genuine B.T number, I received a call on my land line today so chose to ignore it, they then called my mobile. when answered it was B.T responding to an email I had sent them regarding an internet fault.

I answered a call from this number and there was just a buzzing noise at the other end.  I had just finished a call with BT, changing my contract and had agreed to an automated survey (usually prompts a quick reply and good service!) so expected it to be that.  Other comments suggest link with BT so I guess it is a fault with the survey.

This is the generic BT display number.

What that means, is that for all departments in BT that do not accept incoming calls, this number is shown as caller ID.  So the call could be anything from a BT sales call to a Follow up call regarding a fault.

As an example:  I reported a fault to BT, they called me back today using this number to discuss the fault further.  However about a week ago I also received a call on the same number which was BT sales call trying to sell addons to my package.

So, if you have a open issue or expecting a call from BT answer it.  If you dont then ignore!!

Had a call from them, didn't answer so they left a voice message saying... Hello (my name) its so and so here from BT we will email.

I had a BT line and Broadband installed 5 days ago and I had trouble getting their new BT Sports service so I emailed and they were calling me back.

True to the message left on my voicemail they emailed 5 mins later to inform me what I needed to do to access BT Sport.

Geniune call and reason to ring.

Had a couple of calls from this number today. First call left a voicemail on my mobile saying Hi this is Steve from BT, your bill is overdue. To prevent further action....then it was asking me to ring an 0871 number and say "pay my bill" when prompted. I didn't call the number, i don't have any accounts or services with BT. Total scam this time.

I got called from these guys, and they have said that my direct debit is in arrears, and my phone line will be restricted. Just a shame that I had just hang up from a BT manager, as I wanted to know about possibly switching, and the thing is there had been a prob with my direct debit, but I had sorted this out the day before. I sussed her straight away, it was a call centre, and not a bt line, claiming to be Jodie from BT, wanting my bank details. Watch out folks this is a scam, and these guys should be stopped. She couldn't get off the phone quick enough.

If you have been invited to answer a survey from BT while calling 0800800150, that is the automated survey following a call with their agent.
