They have called me everyday this week! Sometime twice a day. I answered the call once and no-one was there. I'm just ignoring the call now.

hi, i got a phone call today at 16 10, the caller said he was from Barclays Bank, as soon as he asked for my date of birth to confirm i was the account holder i told him i was not intrested, he could have been from the bank but you cant be sure these days.

I have just received a call from this number, I hung up and called Barclays - they confirmed they NEVER phone customers and ask them any personal details and this is not one of their numbers.

These are clever criminals. Barclays have just done a SECURITY  check on my account  .

I received the call from the same number.  I then called the real Barclays and they confirmed it is their internal sales/marketing team calling regarding product services.  So no worries everyone.  He hung up on me as well and I presume due to the fact that no one ever trusted him so he simply gave up than wasting time convincing people.

every day they call my phone have rung them and said not too call me any more. this has gone on for 2 years now ,how do i stop this please it is driving me crazy...have called them too stop calling my home phone now they are calling my mobil......

Asked for detials to confirm my ID. Would not give details caller hang up

ive been getting 2 - 3 calls a day at different times of the day from this number, its starting to annoy me , so next time i will give them a piece of my mind, barclays or not, as a previous person said , if it is barclays why have they taken up bothering people with these pain in the @*se calls.

I am sure these two calls coming from one place. Sometimes the call comes under Unknown.

Started a week ago and now, its happening every day. Call and hung up 5 times a day.
They are really annoying me. I feel sorry for the people who are getting calls like this everyday.
It's not right at all.  

Before I had regular irritating calls from "Accident claims". They talk rubish and I have just sort them out and now they have gone quite and these people popping up from hell.

I dont believe that some companies really paying this time wasting callers to irritate innocent people.

Who ever people you are.........  PLEASE PLEASE STOP IT AND PLEASE ANSWER US, WHY YOU ARE DOING THIS TO PEOPLE ????????????

I got call from them on my mobile tonight said she was from Barclays, No name given.
She asked for my DOB to confirm that it was me on the phone.I that told her I would not and she got funny with me and said I HAD to  tell her.I said I donot have to tell you anything.
I said that you can NOT cold call me like this which you have, I have not asked you to call.
She said that she would read my account details including and latest balances to prove that she was from Barclays,
I asked for her full name and work station number plus phone number for me to call back.
The line went dead.

4 missed calls from this number today which i didn't answer. Checking on here I'm glad I didn't! Thanks guys

Had a call from this number 'claiming' to be Barclays - he could give me the last 6 digits of my debit card as proof! But needed my date of birth to prove I was who I said I was, and they'ed called me. The caller claimed he wanted to review my details held by Barclays, as they needed updating.
If this was Barclays, then their security is rubbish, however it was more likely a phone 'phish'.
USE CAUTION AND DON'T TELL THEM ANYTHING would be my advice.

Called from this number said they were from our bank - i dont think so !

It seems that Barclays have a very aggressive marketing strategy which should be resisted.  Our stock answer is that if we needed something from the bank we would call them or go into a branch.  Hopefully Barclays will get the message for this type of selling technique.

Got called by this number.

She said they were Barclays, and wanted to know if I was happy with my accounts, and could they do anything for me.

I told her to close all my accounts, and send the money to the RSPCA.

I've never had a Barcleys account.

Hello every one

I recieved a call from them last week, women asked me my DOB to confirm that I am the right person and said she is calling from Barclays bank...I was not sure so I refused to give her any information as I told her she could be scamer lol.....she was not happy and she humg up!

I have had at least 6 calls from this number now and all ocassions have refused to take the call simply because it is an 0800 number which tends to lead to sales and someone hounding you for money!  I dialled it back and listened to a voicemail claiming to be from Barclays!  I shall not be answering this call - they can ring me for ever more... and same applies to those folks out there who withhold their numbers which in my view have something to hide if they withhold numbers!!!  If i want any services from Barclays i will ring them!  ADVICE: ignore it or answer it and immediately hang up, they'll soon get the message!

Called me today (15th Dec 2010) at 19:40 Claiming to be barclays. Asked my DOB and mother maiden name. DO NOT GIVE OUT THIS INFOMATION! I am in the process of tracking this number down with Barclays to see if its fake or real. Awaiting Updates!

Update to the above! Number is fake! Ive just spoken to the Barclays customer services. THIS NUMBER IS NOT USED BY BARCLAYS! DO NOT GIVE DETAILS!!!!! Report the number to the police if you get this call. BEWARE!!!!
