- Anna Pazyna| 2 repliesToday at 3.01 pm some one call me fron no 08000852652 and said hes calling from banking on-line, but Im not sure about the person and the no and would like to riport the situation , if you can help me to get the information why i got this call?
- Caller: Barclays banking on-line
- Nan replies to Anna PazynaRing your bank and see what they have to say. If you read todays news on line there is a massive scam involving ringing people and telling them that a bank courier will be calling to collect their card as it has been cloned. They ask you to key in your pin on the telephone. They also say you can put the 'phone down and ring your bank, but they do not hang up and pretend to be your bank.
- priviose poster replies to Anna PazynaI got already help from Barclays, so the no is not Barclays no, so u all have to becareful!!!!
- Cristina GrandiI receive a lot of calls from this number
- SRhad 2 calls from this no today on my mobile, no answer from whomever it is when I tried to answer the call. I understand it is a scam to try to get you to phone back -at an unreasonable charge!
- Caller: ?

- Caller: unknown
- andyjockCalled several times in the last week. Never leave a message. I do have an account with Barclays
- Caller: Barclays
- cath donohueThis number called me three times this afternoon in about 2 hours, anyone who does this is a nuisance caller. I am of fwork with severe depression at the moment & could really do without this !
- Caller: barclays
- MattI just missed a call from that number now. I've telephoned Barclays (after reading this post) as I have no Barclays accounts at all, and never have had!! Barclays confirmed that it was not them calling me, and confirmed that if they did make a call to a customer they would never ask for date of birth etc.
- Caller: "Barclays"
- markcalled 4 times, only rung 3-4 times then stopped. when it was answered they claimed to be from Barclays Bank and wanted to talk about moving my account to one giving me better interest (LOL), problem is i don't bank with Barclays Bank and never have. please be on your guard. reported it to my local Barclays branch, they said they wouldn't call and confirmed they believe it to be a scam and would look into it, so people is a SCAM take care.
- Caller: SCAM
- AnonymYes it barclays but a call cetre with a varying amount of employed muppetts(mostly pratts who cannt speak english properly who have no idea what thye are doing basically cold calls to sell loans or insurances through the Barclay network.
My advice tell them to go and get a proper job like toilet cleaner or something useful like dog [***] collecting or similar
I am moving my accounts away to a proper bank- Caller: barclays
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Gordon BrownI would like to say this.. In this country you have choices if you do not want cold calling block the number, Barclays are in actual fact breaking the law by allowing sub contract call cetres to access your personal information. I see a comment from another client above suggesting that they get proper jobs and stop this waste of our valuable time. Dog [***] collecting and toilet cleaning in a curry house is a very good past time for these people. May I suggest as former Priminister that we actually pass a law which stops this from happening. Cold calls are annoying, these Wayne Kerss are uriniating us all off.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Mukka KalemIm loving my job, in my call centre I can annoy lots of people I am based in Delhi and my day is wonderful Mukka Kalem im wanting more phone numbers to call barclays peeps Mukka Kallema
- Caller: Mukka Klaem
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Thomasall same here - they tried to call me twice in one day ( I was on shift at work so wasn't able to answer) From the sounds of things it's either a codl caller trying to find out if your number/s are live and therefore a possible target for cold-calling ads, or it's a phishing scam. Either way, don't answer, dont give details out and if it's amissed, call, just ignore them and certainly don't call back!
- James| 1 replyJust been called by this number.
A woman with a geordie accent and muffled background noise.
She asked for me by my full name and explained the call was from Barclays to inform me of "product updates which may be relevant".
She then asked if it was ok to refer to me by my first name, and for me to confirm my D.O.B.
I said no.
She said we couldn't proceed
I said fine.
She said thank you and good bye.- Caller: Barclays (Claim)
- Ian replies to James10:25 called by this number. Chap with geordie accent said he was from Barclays Business and asked for me by name. Told him AFAIK, barclays don't do cold calling. He asked for my DoB. I said no & terminated call. Phoned the real Barclays Business & they say no record of any calls etc being made and they didn't recognise the number.
So either left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing (well they haven't got a CEO at present <smile>) or it's a SCAM. - AL| 3 repliesWell Barclays should have a better system as no-one at all in my household has ever had an account, so they shouldn't be calling my number, as we're registered with TPS and it's ex-drirectory, so how they got our number I don't know. They are outright REFUSING to take our number off their system, as we don't have an account with them,
- Caller: Barclays
- bb worker worker replies to AL| 2 repliesal im sorry but thats bull it may be a wrong number but refusing to take a number off when we dont have your details is impossible!!!!
