Cancel you card and request a new one. I too await a refund. They will still sting you for the £1.60. Get on to Watchdog and expose these con merchants.

my grandmother (a pretty clued up 80 year old) was mugged by both pound saver and pitch world today...100 pounds was taken from her by  these fraudsters, And while i understand saying YES to these people mean you get inclusion into thier "great deals" she swears blind thats she said no to everything she was offered....

i'm not going to rant and rave...i'm going to get a refund for her which in poundsavers defence they have promised to do... and them i'm going to the police, trading standards and watchdog as within the law guidlines data protection laws have been broken by both parties see below-

Section 55 - Unlawful obtaining of personal data. This Section makes it an offence for people (Other Parties), such as hackers and impersonators, outside the organisation to obtain unauthorised access to the personal data.

if this has happened to you, i suggest you do the same and we can get these companies shut down for good.

it's ok thse poundsaver reps coming on saying "it's not our fault" it does'nt matter your company is breaking the law (see section 55)
i'm pretty sure if it was you grandmother getting mugged you'd want to do something about to...

i had 89.95 taken out of my account on 18th jan 2011 this was taken by a company called pound saver ive never used this company b4 or never heard of them before until the following day i went 2 my local link and my account had been emptied, i then rung the bank who told me that this so called company had taken it. they looked at my account and realised i neve use this company, so they told me 2 leave it with them and they were going 2 investigate it with the fraud squad banking team. they also gave me the number 2 ring, i  spoke 2 a lady from pound saver and she didnt know how it happened although she did have my details and said i would b fully reimbursed, as she had no record of me purchasing anything, i have advised her the fraud squad banking team r looking into this further. she then hung up. my bank have now cancelled my bank detais and bank card and are sending me a new account and pin number. this is absolutely discusting and appauling as i am my husbands full time carer and wife and the only income we recieve in my bank is his dla and his esa allowance. how can anybody steal from anybody let alone soomeone with a disability and a small income. i now have 2 go all the way 2 the bank 2 draw money unit is an inconvienience in its self as my husband is disabled, therefore i would now have 2 leave for a period of time just 2 draw my money cos of them . i well and truly hope the fraud squad have them banged 2 rights. i feel for all the people who it has  affected ou there.

This company took 89.95 from my bank account using my card details.  We have informed the bank who have logged a case and I will be reporting it to the police,watchdog and trading standards.  reading some of the reports shopping channels on TV have been mentioned alot like pitch tv but I have not used any of these.  My details have been given to poundsaver by classic living when we bought a CD compilation for a Xmas present from an advert on TV.  This company is a thief and surely it must be against the law to take people's money out of their accounts without their permission.  If enough people complain about this company then we can shut them down and stop these other companies giving our finnancial details to other companies.  My bank has been very good but we caught them before they actually took the money, just as it was pending.  Godd luck everyone.

strikes me strange that as soon as someone says something nice about these companys they end the message pointing out to the people that have been ripped off that they are either stupid foolish or negligent in some way l wonder how you would feel if it happened to you .   my main point here is l beleive you have some affiliation to them love so all you people out there reading craptrap like this be aware

I have had 89.00 pounds taken out of my account without any knowledge of these B.......S  they have tested my account by taking out £1.60 in december as it was a minimal amount  i didnt take any notice they have also tried to take out 39.00 from classic living  but this was not authorized. I rang my bank and they told me that they couldn't do anything as my husband had made the transaction over the weekend this is not true as he did not make any transcations to these people. I was also told that i needed to contact the company to ask them that they have unlawfully taken payments out of our account  how ridiculous is that i would have to give them our card details in order for them to trace this so called transaction so i just called the police to report this scam and then rang the bank the 3rd time and spoke to someone   who immediately blocked our card THANK GOODNESS. They have also reported it to the fraud investigation team i am hoping that i will get a refund from our bank because we wont from this company . I tried ringing several times and can not get thorough to these people as they have a tecqhnical fault on thier line how soooo convienant. I shall also be making a complaint to watchdog  the more of us that does the better it will be and hopefully shut these B.......s down for good !!!!!

I'm yet another victim of this blatant fraud. I have never used any TV channel and have even less understanding of how my details reached them. On telephoning the number I was advised to 'Visit our web-site' - without any further description or url being offered. I chose 'Poundsaver.co.uk' as it seemed to be in keeping with a company calling itself 'POUNDSAVER GB' only to discover that the owner of this site was being badgered by hundreds of people in a similar position. It seems they do not have the balls to give out the correct information but prefer to hide behind some other poor individual - I cannot believe that they (Poundsaver) are unaware of the existence of this site.

As for getting my money back I have contacted the bank, Watchdog and emailed Encore Card Marketing but, frankly, I don't hold out a lot of hope.

Hi, my name is Billy (and I am  63) Like all of you I guess, I have recently been scammed 20 Jan by POUND SAVER using 0800-107-7333 for £89.95.
On 24 Jan I was further scammed by CLASSIC LIVING using 0800-096-2926 for £39.95.
On 26 Jan an unidentified Co. with no name or phone no. scammed me for a further £58.95.

I am a pensioner banking with NatWest who decline any responsibility and advised me to their FRAUD CENTRE in Farnborough Hants. What on earth is going on when 'smart' criminals can 'outsmart' police, Fraud squad etc. and banks don't even want to know.

This was NOT an internet fraud, but I traced to a PHONE CALL I made to BID tv (sit-up-shopping channel) They enclosed details of POUND SAVER who then scammed me. i have just checked my bank accounts and found pound saver have taken 99.95 from my credit card on 27th january i have not used my card this year does anyone know if i can get my money back

Hi Bill yes i think your right it's not an internet fraud . I made a purchase from pitch T.V months ago and i feel that my details have somehow been given to these people poundsaver. I have no idea how. I contacted my bank and i have been told that the fraud investigation team will not be investigating this but a dispute team i dont know why i havent agreed for these people to take out money from my account .It looks as though i may have a battle on on my hands to get my money back really fed up with it all any suggestions ?
