- StevieBNot sure about the number ringing me but my account was debited with £1.60 followed by £99.95. I thought this was a fraudulent attack on my account so contacted my bank - Barclays. They were quite familiar with it. It is some sort of membership scheme that appears in the small print of TV purchases. You may get this every year if you don't get it cancelled!! The bank kindly sent a cancellation off on my behalf then gave me the number above to cal to get a refund of the payments made.
To be fair the call to 08001077333 was a no fuss bit of effort and no arguments. They will refund but say it will take two weeks. This falls in line with other web comments I've seen. I'll see if the refund is made. If it is refunded then to be fair I will have little to complain about except for a lesson to be learned when shopping online/TV!!

and it has been returned to my account £99:95 and the £1:60 they kept !!!! - FrannyleeI am just reading about this so called company Pound Saver as I did not know who they were either, so I put Pound Saver into the search, and came upon all this complaints, in 2009 I sent for a few things from the TV channels, there was Bid TV and JML and I did get something from Pitch something, two of the companies asked me if I wanted this vouchers, and I said ok then, but what they don't tell you is when you get the vouchers you have about 30 days to phone the number to cancel, either that they assume you want them, so I did not read it, and therefore in 2009, unknown to me, I had 3 payments taken off my bank account in March, one from Big Savings £99.99, plus postage for £1.99, another one from Rocket JML, £99.99, plus £1.99, another Pound Saver £1.60, at the time I did not check my bank account. Until the following year I got in a letter, saying my yearly membership is running out for Rocket JML and you have so many days to cancel by phone, thats when I checked back all my bank statements, I phoned JML and cancelled it, thinking all the other ones was the same thing. Then in March 2010, I had £79.99, plus £1.60 from Big Savings and £99.99 plus £1.60, from this Pound Saver, who I did not know who they were to do with, so then I thought to myself, this is all to do with the same thing, a few weeks ago, I recieved another letter from Big Savings saying my memebership is running out, blaa,blaa,blaa, so I phoned them now, so they did tell me that I did cancel the Rocket JML, last year, I asked them who Pound Saver was, he did not know, so I also cancelled the Big Savings, and now I will have to find out who Pound Saver, as I am sure it will be something to do with, either Rocket JML, or Pitchwell, I will also contact my bank to make sure I don't get anymore money taken off my bank account, as I never even used any of the vouchers, as I did not want them in the first place, so I have wasted over £400 in 2 years.

"Oh we must have asked to join Poundsaver" well there is no way I would need or want to join anything to do with your company, in fact I did not even know who or what Poundsaver were, until I phoned to ask for my money back.
The sooner that all these other companies you deal with, are legally made to get a signed form stating that anyone wants to join, then your company should act responsibly not take money on the say so, of some sales agent who is probably desperate for money or to keep their jobs, who enters yes on the computer keyboard and bingo we have money taken without our consent or knowledge.
Then in law we are left with the your word against mine syndrome, well a reputable company would not put anyone into these ridiculous position, rigourous checks should be standard, most purchases carry a 14 day cooling off period, well hard to do this when you have been signed up to something you knew nothing about, and when I asked Pitchwell for the copy of the recording with me, yes you got it no longer available, very conveinient !!
All the people on these pages cant all be wrong, saying they were unaware until they noticed the money taken from them.
This of course begs the question if a signature had to be obtained before membership with Poundsaver could commence then how would this affect the amount of members Poundsaver has, this is the $64,000 question?
So will I ever get my money back, I rely on shopping channels as I am disabled and cant get out and about, and Poundsaver are still holding my money absolutely scurrilous, despite a promise to refund and even given a reference number, your company should redress the system for increasing your memership and this is not the way to do it. - SimonMy mrs has had £1.60 then £99.95 taken every march for the past 3 years as far as we know taking over£300 look back at past statements they're robbing everyone

This number seems to match the one for card services given to me by the bank.

- maz60I too have had money taken from my account from Pound Saver and Classic. Phoned the above number and had my refund for both amounts back in my bank in 3 days. They also said they have cancelled my subscription which I consider very good of them as I never had a subscription in the first place!!!
- Tess replies to JayBeeBeeI too is a victim of this scum. I bought a steam mop from pitchworld Nov 09. Not knowing after a month they took £89.95 then a year later another £89.95. I have now reported this to my visa company and ask me to fill up a dispute form. They now told me that they can't take this dispute further until I've tried to come to an agreement with the retailer. I will be contacting membership services and hope for the best. I will definitely put a complaint to trading standards, watchdog and the police and hopefully all out there who fell victim to see these scums be humiliated and put to jail. I'm a single mum and work hard for my money and just get by.We don't need these people.
