The amounts taken are...
Easy Living £1.60
Pound Saver £99.95
Easy Living £39.95
Not money I can afford to lose...will update when I hear back from Halifax.... - DOUG F. replies to j| 2 repliesHi, I just opened my Barclaycard statement and have found that I have been charged £89.95 by Pound Saver and £39.95 by Classic Living. This seems to originate from an order I placed over the phone for an add seen on Sky TV, for a cd from Time Life. I was originally billed by a co. called Zestify Media Ltd, London WC2N and now a month later this has happened. I have emailed Watchdog about it and complained to Barclaycard who are going to ring me tomorrow. I have also emailed Time Life to see what they have to say about it.
- KarenHi can't believe it fraudsquad called just had £1.60 taken out by poundsaver and £99.95 declined but now have noticed they did the same a year ago in march but got both ther £1.60 and £99.95 from my debit card so since they are closed I've barred my card and tomorrow the phonecalls will start so wishing everyone else goodluck in getting refunded - can't believe this company as I never received no membership pack etc --total scam

- ian replies to DOUG F.I also have been scamed by this company, I bought an item for my daughter from zesty, I later received a call from classic living promising me some vouchers at a cost of £1.60, I checked my account today only to find pound saver had taken £1.60 from my account on the 1st of April and £89.95 from my account today, I tried calling classic living but funny enough their offices were closed, I will be calling again tomorrow.
I have called my bank to investigate and logged a fraud claim, they have stopped my card and will notify me in 17 days, hopefully I will get my money back, I cant believe they have done this.
I never agreed this. - CarolineReceived my credit card statement to find 2 transactions of £1.60 taken without my consent from Pound Saver and Classic Living. Reported to my bank straight away, this is a scam beware.
- TimLooks like they got me too. Had £1.60 and £99.95 taken from my account. It seems this happened a year ago too, but I did not notice it, should have paid more attention. Because of this, my bank want me to contact the scumbags myself which I am going to do now. How has this been allowed to go on for so many years? Could be Watchdog and the police next.
- RuthMy Australian credit card has been debited £99.95 from Pound Saver on the 1st April 11; was not aware of until received bank charges for overdrawn account. Contacted P S, have said they will refund and should be in my account in 10 days; we shall see. Have requested from my Aus. bank earlier statements to see if the same amount had been stolen 12 mths ago. This has occured thru a purchase of a eco steam cleaner from Pitch TV March 2010. During the telephone conversation a sales rep had asked if I would like to receive the free 30 day vouchers for hotels, holidays etc....then if interested sign up for membership. I verbally said I will have a look. The steam cleaner arrrived with no vouchers or any such information to a membership. So did not think anymore about it. This is a frightfully terrible scam to steal from innocent customers! Have also purchased products prior to Christmas from JML on my UK card. With these items I received the vouchers but contacted within the 30 days to cancell. I have contacted Barclays to block Pound Saver if they attempt to steal £99.95 from this account. Please be aware that even if you say NO, your details may still be passed onto to this unlawful company! You would think these TV sales channels would take care of their own interests as I will never purchase another item from them and I guess all of you who have experienced the same theft wont either. Shame on such companies.
- K. Hall replies to SueThey did the same to me, they so far have taken two £1.60 But fortunately we noticed, they phoned me after I bought something on line and said they were giving me a free offer, i didn't really pay much attention as it was to do with holiday offers and I had no interest. Then next thing i know they are using the bank details I'd given for the item I bought and they were somehow give to scam me. for £1.60 a week for this, so called, free offer. I'm a disabled person who bought 6 second ABS off the web after seeing an add for it on TV.
- Sean McCarrickI also found £1.60 had been recently taken from my Capital One credit card by both POUND SAVER and CLASSIC LIVING. I contacted the credit card fraud department and they are sending me some paperwork which will give them authority to contact these two companies to start investigatng. I telephoned the both Pound Saver and Classic Living and they are both part of the same company. They tell me that my credit card details were passed to them by a company called Ted Barker BNLUK Sales. I have never heard of this company and have not found anything on the internet. If this happens to you then contact your card company straight away and register a dispute over the payment I have contacted BBC Watchdog as suggested by a previous correspondent (http://www.bbc.co.uk/watchdog/gotastory/ ) and also contacted Trading Standards Consumer Direct and Action Fraud. Neither the Trading Standards nor Action Fraud were of any real help though both did strongly suggest that the credit cards involved be cancelled to make sure no more transactions could take place. The card company will re-issue new cards.

- lester| 3 repliesI just noticed exactly the same two payments one for 99.99 and another for 1.60 from the above phone number and I haven't got a clue what that is about, just tried to phone up the number but got an automated system.
- AndyMc| 7 repliesI have just had a couple of payments taken without my permission from my account. I had bought ROCK 'N' ROLL JUKE BOX 16CDs from BNL Media after seeing an TV ad broadcast from Sky TV, can't remember which channel.
Anyway in the beginning were two outgoing payments, both £1.60 and had the description POUND SAVER & CLASSIC LIVING, several weeks later I had two more outgoing payments of £89.95 and £39.95, I've yet to receive anything for these payments so as far as I'm concerned its fraud. Calling my local bank branch tomorrow to notify them.- Call type: Telemarketer
