- Rhapsody BluesI have just had £89.95 taken from my account from Pound Saver and I bought a 6 sec ab machine back in April. The guy that took the call also mentioned vouchers and I never received them but I did not give any permission for them to take any money for anything but the damn thing that I bought!!!!!
Many people have written the same as I and have reported to the fraud department at the bank but has anyone been successfull in getting their money back? and has anyone had further transactions on their accounts? - jackiei had £99.95 taken from my account in may this year without my permission. my bank gave me this no and i was able to get through to a pleasant young girl whoi promised to refund my money within 14 days.to my surprise it was actually refunded, but i still worry that although i have changed all my bank details they will try again.therefore i am off to the police station to report the company who gave them my details in the first place

My mother hasn't bought anything of a shopping channel in fact its an emergency credit card which has only been used once to pay for MY student accommodation at university once month when I was short so we have no idea where the hell they have got our details from. Frankly I'll be taking them to the cleaners. Here's a tip for you Pound Saver don't take money out of the account of a law students mother. I'll be taking this to court if I have to. You're not getting away with upsetting my mother.
- Heather replies to AdieI have just opened my credit card statement only to find a company calle POUND SAVE ( of whom I have never heard of ) has take £99 95 + £1 60. I have no clue as to how they got hold of my card details. It is clear i am not the only only one who has this problem. I have cancled my credit card and going to the police. this is theft and fraud.

"£Saver Card" junk mail that could prove costly if you bin it
BY ANDREW PENMAN ON APRIL 13, 2011 11:00 PM IN MAIL ORDER
According to its website, Encore Card Marketing provides "competitive programmes for monetising web traffic".
Dave Nelson of Blackpool thinks he's found out what this gibberish means after he bought a history DVD from a satellite channel through a firm called Zestify.
Besides the DVD, he got, "on trial", discount vouchers called Classic Living and The £saver Card.
These came from Encore Card Marketing and, says Dave, "If you don't cancel within 30 days you are billed £89.95 annually plus £1.60 for admin, Zestify having passed on your details.
"I think they prey on the fact that people stick this kind of mail in the bin."
We asked Zestify and Encore Card Marketing to comment and although neither have replied to us, Zestify did get back to Dave.
It told him: "There is no obligation to continue after the 30-day trial. All we ask is that you call the freephone number to cancel within the 30-day trial period. This information is also included in the letter and terms and conditions, which you would of received in the pack."
Which isn't much good if you have mistaken the pack for junkmail and binned it.
In the trade this is known as inertia marketing and a master of it is Andrew Millet.
He is behind High Street Max - numerous readers tell us they have bought online from one company and found that this means they've unwittingly joined High Street Max, which then takes a regular fee for membership of its "shopping club".
Where could 42-year-old Millet of Edgware, Middlesex, have learned his trade?
Up to January 2006 he was a director of Encore Card Marketing. - HeatherThis is an up date first posted ( sunday 26/6/2010 ) have went to the police and contacted the RBS bank who are sending out forms concerning the withdrawal of £99. 95 and £1. 65 from my account. The bank are going to investigate. Today called Pound Saver 0800 1077333 . According to the person with whom i spoke to, they had not taken any money from my account amd have no knowledge of this. They said they were a STORAGE FIRM CALLED ( KELLYS STORAGE ).
It states on my account the withdrawel is Pound Saver 00800177333 dose anyone else have this on their credit card statement ?- Caller: pound save
- Mr C Furness| 1 replyThis Company took £1.65 and then £95.00 From my account without any justificATION, My Bank, possibly ex bank says that because I have previously given my credit card details to pound saver (Not that I have ever heard of them before) this situation does not represent fraud, but a dispute with Poundsaver. I would like to know why the bank ( Halifax - where good things happen to customers ) allowed this transaction to take place. I will also be asking, under the FOI rules to find out how many other customers have had their accounts attacked in this way.
- Rose Godfrey| 1 replyJust took £99.95 from my bank account . . . . for what, who knows?
- FIDO replies to Rose GodfreyBecause they like to take money from people's account? We've just had 69.95 taken from our joint account but it was done on my wife's debit card. We don't respond to TV adverts, but occasionally order online and by phone, but only from companies we know. All unwanted correspondence containing any personal info is shredded! How Pound Saver got my wife's debit card number we don't know. Our bank is treating it as possible fraud and is disputing the charge. I've also emailed Pound Saver and asked them if they have any documentary evidence regarding the transaction. It will be interesting to see if I get a reply.
- CyrilJust seen £91.55 taken from my account by POUNDSAVER, got straight onto Nationwide and they have stopped my card and started a full investigation into this. This is not the first time that this sort of thing has happened it seems that no matter what the banks & building societies do fraudsters always find a way around it. These unscrupulous people are just to lazy to work so take to robbing decent people of ther hard earned cash. They should do like they do in the Arab States chop their hands off.
- lizzie anderson-parkeI also saw two unexpevted amounts taken from our bank account. the Ist onw was for £1.60 the 2nd for £69.80. I contacted my bank the same day. They could tell me the named company is Pound saver and gave me this phone number 08001077333 to contact. When I rang the number I got through to customer services. But the OFFICE WAS CLOSED FOR THE WEEKEND. I will recall on Monday morning both this number and my bank. Meantime My wife is calling Pitch tv for an explanation and has been told that we joined another scheme with one of the companys we gave our details to. that this is a rolling contract......God knows for what. but the fees will be collected at the same time every year. This surley is not only a con but a CRIME!!

- LORRAINEI HAD A POST CARD THROUGH THE POST FROM IDEAL WORLD, WHOM WE HAVE BOUGHT A A FEW THINGS FROM, OFFERING US CHEAPER HOTEL RATES, SAID THEY WOULD POST ORRES IN POST, NEVER ARRIVED, FEEL ANNOYED AND STUPID FOR FALLING FOR THIS
- Carol W replies to AndyMc| 4 repliesI just noticed two amounts of £1.60 debited from my bank account (by Pound Saver and Classic Living). As I never spend such a little amount on my debit card, I was puzzled, so I keyed "Pound Saver" into my search engine - and found all these other complaints! I quickly worked out that the culprit, in my case, is a company called "BNL Media Ltd". I recently purchased a set of CD's for my mother, from these people (after she saw them advertised on Sky TV). I recall a guy phoning me shortly after, offering "free" discounts on hotels etc. At no point did he ask, nor did I give, permission to take money from my account.
I called my bank immediately to report it and cancelled my card. I know, it's a pain in the butt to have to wait for a new card to be issued, but it means the thieving bandits can't take more money from me!
I will now take steps to report these robbers to the police, trading standards and anyone else I can find who will help us all in our fight against this breach of our rights. I urge everyone else, who has fallen prey to these people, to do the same. - BWD4567I contacted Pitch TV today (July 21, 2011) as they and other like them have been allowing all of us here being dumped into these so called free offers from these discount companies Poundsaver (who charged me £89.95) and Classic Living (who charged me £39.95) plus p & p of £1.60 in both instances. Does this sound familiar?
Well I think we need to send a message to Pitch TV and other Sky shopping channels, retail providers. Avoid all these so called free offers like the plague!
Complain to the Shopping channel retail provider (Pitch TV, Pitch World or whoever is behind this and let's vote with our feet, let's boycott these providers until they cease their association with these so-called free discount clubs.
Otherwise we will just be letting them take our money - for free! You can not stop or cancel these direct bank payments by going to your bank, they cannot help! You have to ring this number 08001077333 like I did and I wait in hope that you will receive a full refund and no more charges. This is an outrageous
marketing ploy! It’s a scam and it not a sustainable business model. I will never you Pitch TV and other shopping channels again, as you are giving them your bank details at your risk!- Caller: Sky shopping channel provider
