Very shocked!!! - Sid WyerIt's happened to us just today.
What a scandal that it's still going on nearly 3 years after the first complaint in this string.16 pages of complaits and still these "companies" are getting away with fraud and theft- Caller: "Poundsaver"
- jeffi recently purchased some cd's from bnl media, then whilst looking through my bank statements i seen that two lots of £1.60, £89.95 and £39.95 had been taking from my account. I contacted my bank who informed me of the names of the two companies 'pound saver' & 'classic living' they gave me the phone numbers of these scam artists and i rang them to complain and they assured me my money will be back in my account within 10-15 working days! I hope this is true! If not i will go to the provided address for these companies and take it back! Hope everyone gets there money back!
- NEIL| 3 repliesJust recieved my credit card statement and noticed two payments for £1.60 and £99.95 that i didnt recognise from Pound Saver with the 08001077333 phone number. Called my bank and they said they had had alot of calls about this company and to phone them direct and try and sort it out. Turns out they got my details from a company called Zestify that i had bought CD's off a year ago. They told me i should have recieved money saving vouchers but these never arrived. He said he would resend them and when i said i didnt want them he assured me no more money would come out of my account but as i was outside the 30 day trial period he couldnt refund the money already taken. I told him i had been in touch with my bank and all of a sudden he managed a refund. Thankfully i checked online and found this site so many thanks.

- Chris J replies to NEILJust went through the same thing with Pound Saver and Classic Living - £1.60 (twice) followed by £39.95 and £89.95. When you telephone these people (0800 107733 and 0800 0962926) they are two companies, Membership Services and Membership Customer Services. They are the same company and the story is that at some point in time my wife bought something on the internet from a company called BNL Media and apparently opted into some scheme to receive discount vouchers etc, none of which were received. They have assured me that a full refund will be made within 14 days, or 7 to 10 days (depending which person you talk to). The refund was offered after mentioning that I had been in touch with my bank's fraud department, which I had.
There is a lesson here: read ALL of the agreement before committing to buy online from small companies and in any case do not buy from BNL Media (the product did not work). - eyeballpaulbloody pound saver mum just got caught with them just bought a steamer off of the sky channel and just realised that 91 pound was trying to come out of her account and after phoning her bank to find out who it was and having to cancel her bank card found out it was pound saver when mum mentioned it i remembered i had seen something on here SO BE A WARE

- tracy macaulayi have just had £99.99 taken out from my bank account and also occured bank charges this company is a total scam, its fraud if they are getting your details from a 2nd company
- tracy replies to Nikkiyour spelling needs alot of up-dating your cant spell
- Rachclassic living. Are very dodgy. My husband was rang by his bank today and the fraud department. Someone there has hacked into a account and took money unlawfully off his current account card. We don't use shopping channels so it must be they have taken to hacking perhaps on low security websites.
- RachThey have been hacking websites now. We don't use shopping channels.
- mr woolleyi haven't even bought from the t.v and they got my details. they took £1.60 and then £99.99 fraud is not right.
- Caller: pound saver
- CherylHI have been charged £90 by Pound Saver and £40 by Classic Living on my credit card for annual subscriptions allowing me discounts on purchases from other companies (so they tell me). These amounts were taken without my authority and I was told that they bought my details from Ted Baker who seem to sell clothes online. I have never bought clothes from them so where did they get my details? Surely these sorts of commercial dealings must be illegal!! If not, why not!! Classic Living is part of Pound Saver and they opperate out of Unit E2, Nutgrove Industrial Park, Rathfarnam, Dublin 15
- MaraI have just discovered that £1.60 & £99,95 has been taken out of my account by Poundsaver, When I contacted them they said that they had sent me tokens in 2007 whitch were valid for 12 months,
When i pointed out that was 4 yrs ago and asked for my money back they said they would refund me and that it would take 2 weeks????, I still don't know how they got my card details, I will be reporting this to the Trading standards. - Annoyed replies to Nikki| 2 repliesFirstly, this is a scam, I have never at any time allowed my details to be used or passed on to another company, secondly you need to learn to spell my dear, and thirdly hopefully soon you will all be out of work and the company you work for shutdown.
- FIONA replies to Annoyed| 1 replyGuys this is not fraud. My bank called me today and said there was a card payment trying tp leave my account of 90pounds but the bank had stopped it. Thank God!!! Then i remembered i did tele shopping a month ago and i was notified of this company called Pounder Saver who was offering a lot of discount of shopping and holidays, etc. I was told i had a 30DAY free trial before i can cancel them otherwise money will be taken from my acct as a one-off. I received information from Pound Saver few week ago with my reference no but i had forgotten to cancel them. i just called them and there were more than happy to refund my 90POUNDS. But i told them not to give it to back to me as the bank had not allowed the transaction!!!
So if anyone has had money taken out call them on the free number on top of this page and they will give u ur money back!! They should have ur details....they had mine! - julie replies to FIONAI have just had 89.95 taken from my account on 7th October I called the bank the telephone number the bank gave me to ring was a dead number. I like all of your searched under pound saver and found this page. It was very helpful as I was able to get correct phone number and called them. They say they are refunding my money within 15 days and that the shopping channel has been informed that their sales guys are misleading us. Hope this helps anyone else who is as frustrated as I was.
- sunconureHi everybody, this has just happened to me and have been reading these comments. Firstly get your card number changed, and writing to trading standards in the UK wont help because this is coming from Ireland so you have to write to them in Dublin
