Just received my credit card statement and an amount of £99.95 has been taken off by someone called Pound Saver!! I have never heard from them and when I read comments in this forum, realised I'd tried to buy (on-line though) a coffee maker from Ideal world, but didn't as they were sold out. I phoned them but they said they don't deal with Pound Saver and no, I hadn't ordered/asked for/bought/was interested in vouchers. Ideal World couldn't tell me where Pound Saver had got my credit card number from. I don't even use this card and haven't for years, so I have no idea how they managed to steal money from me. How can we get them stopped? They are thieves and have to be reported, but who to? My credit card are dealing with this but I'm going to cancel it now as others are saying they will take more money from your account. Can anyone help?

As like many others, I too have had 99.95 and 1.60 taken out of my credit card, received my statement yesterday and i was uterly confused by who or what this company was.. and for it to be a tv bidding show that i have never used or heard of (to the best of my knowledge at the very least)? this is utter bull**** and like many of you, will be looking for a full refund.
Also, nearly 2 years down the line and people are still commenting on this forum about the very same thing is a disgrace, how are they STILL getting away with fraudulant behaviour, is what i will definatly be asking.

as far as i know, the number stands at 08701602513 to this current day.

On 6th Dec 2011 I purchased goods from Homeshop88, using my current account debit card On 13th December my account was debited £1.60 by Poundsaver, followed on 10th January 2012 by a further debit for £89.95.   I called in to my bank (Yorkshire Bank plc) on 20th January, and they were of no help at all, insisting that I must have authorised these payments as they had my card details. Not being satisfied, I contacted their lost / stolen card department by telephone, and they were able to tell me that the two debits concerned linked back to Homeshop88, but that I needed to take this up with Homeshop88, which I did.  They told me they never divulge such information to 3rd parties, but after being informed that the bank had proved a link, said they would get a supervisor to call me back - which I am still awaiting.  However, on researching on the internet, this site came up with the info that this has been an ongoing ‘con’ for far too long.  I phoned 08001044333 this morning, and ‘James’ said that Homeshop88 did have limited electronic access to their database and would pass on alleged requests to Poundsaver. He said they had sent me a book of vouchers (never received by me) - for which I was charged £1.60 postage, and then because I hadn’t cancelled the 30 day trial subscription (which I never asked for), they then billed me for a full years subscription for a service I never knew existed.  He immediately said he would cancel the subscription and refund both sums to my bank account, which should not take any longer than 5 - 10 working days, and gave me a Cancellation Reference. I have since spoken again to Yorkshire Bank Fraud Dept, and they have advised me not to cancel the bank debit card until the refund is safely back in my account, as otherwise the refund will not be allowed. However, as soon as it received, then the card should immediately be cancelled for a replacement with a different number to be issued. Their expressed opinion is that as far as the bank is concerned, this is not Fraud on the bank, but that I should certainly report this matter to the Police for them to deal with.  This I intend to do, and will post further information as this matter goes on, so watch this space.

I rang 08701602513 which turned out to be Laithwaites Wines, (so they said). I then saw a comment form someone who rang 08001077333 which is a membership company, they get details from shopping channels, mine was B N L who i have never dealt with. I was told I would get a full refund in 5 to 10 working days. We will see. Try this number see what they say. Good luck!!

I too got a 99.95 & 1.60 amount taken off my credit card 1.1.12, yorkshire bank disputes were very good and said they were a valid company and to ring 0800 1077 333. Rang them, as people have said before they said Id bought something from BNL Media, which I hadnt, in 2010 !  Said this was a membership fee and they would cancel it and refund my card within 10 days. Gonna check last years statement too as they said it had been taken out in 2010, so might have missed it last year. fingers crossed it comes through or I will be back onto them..  they shouldnt be able to do this, its fraud !

When I bought goods from BNL I recieved a courtesy call to ask if I was happy with the goods recieve at no time did they ask me if they could forward my credit card details to anyone. I first noticed two payments of £1.60 from my barclaycard account then again this month of £39.95 I queried this with Baerclaycard  I was given a telephone number of 0800 0962925 to ring from barclaycard I was assured by the woman at classic living/pound saver the money would be returned to my account and an email would confirm this but as today no avail. I have rung barclaycard and told them that BNL MEDIA crooks forwarded my credit card details to this so called company they have assured me they will take the matter further.

Hi, my husband and I have had the same amount of monies taken from our account. after investigating realised that the 0800 no. is like a tele sales who take calls for numerous companies.  what I think is happening is that when you phone your order in the operator is not informing you that you are signing up for a discount account and that you have 30 days to opt out.  we received no paperwork and it was not even mentioned when we phoned our order in. ours was not with pitch tv so it seems to be generating from this Irish number.  we have been informed that they are going to refund our monies, but we will wait and see. so keep phoning that 0800 no. and demand your monies back and inform them that you were not asked about this scheme!!!  my husband informed them that he had been in touch with trading standards.  hope this helps

Just today my mother notice the amounts of £1.60 and £99.95 had been taken from her account called poundsaver, as far as her banks fraud squad were concerned this is a legitimate business and they would take no action despite her pleas that she never opted for any service from poundsaver, her bank was next to useless and stated that they could stop them from taking money out as they pleased, I'm amazed at the attitude from the bank when this is clearly a criminal act.

Just wondering, has anyone that's been promised a refund from this poundsaver ever received any money back ?
I get the feeling the cancellation code I was given by someone named Stephen was nonsense.

I order CDs from Classic Living (Zestify Media Ltd.) and then I read on these pages how people were being ripped off.  Next day I went straight to my bank and cancelled my card and ordered a new one.  I rang 0800 number and told them I did not want the offers, and that my card number was no longer any use to them.  My bank statrment came in today and there were two amounts of £1.60 for Classic Living and Pound Saver taken out (before I cancelled my card) I rang them and Daniel has assured that this money will be returned to my account, Will let you if this happens.

    Hi Annette,

Call your bank.  This happened to me.   However, the money was deducted from my credit card account.  They acted swiftly, cancelled my card in case the company tries to take another payment!
And are treating the incident as fraud.  These people should be taken to court, it's up to us to report to our banks/credit card companies, so don't watse your time with debating with these people on the end of a phone.  That money was taken from your account without you agreeing to it.  Call the fraud dept of your bank!  :-))
