i have just read the comments above and the people are at it again.i have just ordered something on freeview and am still waiting for the stuff.
I also got conned into buying some vouchers for £1.50.Have recieved them  but noticed  in small print that they will take £89.00 out of my account at the end of the mth.(Oh no they wont!)
I have not been caught like this before and have bought other things from teleshopping.Should not the broadcasting people verify company that use the channels?

I had the same happen to me and actually contacted Thane about it. They allowed me to listen to the recording of my call i made when i purchased my steam mop and to my horror i actually had agreed to the vouchers but the girl had gone through it so quick that i probably misunderstood..i was very very embarassed by this but poundsaver gave me back my money still. just look into it as it can be resolved.

the same thing happened to me when i bought a steam mop but on the letter you get from pound saver it said that you can cancel in 30days with no charge, so i did cancel and didnt get charged.  it's not really a con, you need to listen when they are selling it to you and dont say yes if you don't want it.

has anybody got an address for this POUNDSAVER crowd. A friend of mine has just been hit by them and although they have said they will refund the money they refuse to give a written confirmation. He would like to write to them as a written cancellation may be useful later.

We got our £89.95 back, followed by the £1.60 by 1st Feb from a series of telephone calls over the previous month or so, so don't give up.

Hi,after reading loads of comments on this company,and being stung myself it beggars belief no bank or fraud squad investigation has been done,it is scandalous,this amounts to robbery,surely if I was mugged on the street something would be done,

This company which I never heard of or knew it existed had debited my account of £1.60 twice in dec 2011 and one of £89.95 in jan 2012. Now I will admit I'm not best at keeping up to date with my statements (but will be now with a fine tooth-cumb) but it was this "Classical Living" for £39.99 which had me puzzled.

So I thought I would do bit research on Google and I found this site which brought to my attention that this must be a fraud scheme.

I called my bank explaining to them the situation that payments have been took out of my account without my consent. The person on the phone said we will cancel your card and send you a knew one to avoid this happening in the future and transfer you to the fraud team.

After 25 minutes wait I get to speak to fraud rep who said they are legit company and that I need to contact them as you must have signed up to something. I was very frustrated but thought probably logical thing to do after 2-3 calls I got through to them and said they had no record of me on there account which did not surprise me.

So called my bank again to get through to there fraud team which took more then 30 mins on 0845 number!. I told them that this pound-saver said they had no record of me, so they called pound-saver and this time they admitted to me being on record, how convenient right? my bank once again says you must call them to resolve this issue.

I called them again feeling really annoyed now and this time they admit that I am on record and that I should of received a package from them with my membership card. I told them I dunno how you get away with this because its fraud I was never told about any membership or company named pound-saver but managed to get my details off another company. I know for matter of fact it was "Zestify" as i bought some music cd's off there and have seen some people reference them in this thread.

They have agreed to removed me from this so called membership and agreed to issue me a full refund of all payments that have came out (I will have to check my statement that this does happen and doesn't occur again), but I am little annoyed at my bank as well because this is a legalised form of fraud because like any membership you join in this world you must fill out a form and sign for them/accept for them to direct debit your account but are able to do it with no consent.

It seems to me there is pound-saver reps on this forum trying to defend them selfs I would love you to specify exactly where this membership is agreed upon because as fair as I'm concerned Zestify (who I will never deal with again absolute sh*t company) did not once mention your company name or if I would like to sign up to this so called membership.

yes i had my bank statement through also pound saver have taken £89.95 and classic living have taken £39.95 i can not find a number for poundsaver to contact so if any body has it please email it on this site. i am a pensioner and certainly can not afford this sort of money to be taken for what !!!!!! i am off to my bank to get it stopped and get my monies back also getting in touch with watch dog etc.EVE.

its eve again has anyone got the number of bni media as i have rung them and asked what have i purchased from them for £26.94 and they say its nothing to do with them

This number 0800707333 is no longer in use, i have tried to contact company as my husband has had money removed from his account with no knowledge of these company's, classic living and pound saver, same amounts £89.95, £39.95 and £1.60 charges, does anyone have a number he can call to solve this issue.

I called this crowd back in January to cancel the scandalous poundsavers and classic life memberships. on the 24th of january and spoke to an irish man called brian. he told me that it would be cancelled and money refunded but - nearly one month later - i receive a bloody letter about my membership!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is terrible!!!!!!!!!!! I have not even received my money back. i shall be calling this company when i get a usuable number and contacting the police as this is fraud - more so because i was reassured that the  money would be put back into my account with 10 days. it is people like this that has the country on its knees!

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CALL THESE PEOPLE AND YOU GET A FULL REFUND ON FIRST REQUEST. IF YOU PEOPLE JUST RANG THIS COMPANY INSTEAD OF COMING HERE TO RANT, YOU WOULD REALISE HOW EASY IT IS TO DEAL WITH THEM, I MEAN LIKE MOST OF YOU I HAD A BAD FIRST IMPRESSION, AS I HAD SEEN THIS MONEY GONE ON MY BANK STATEMENT, SO I JUST RANG THE  NUMBER TOLD THEM I DIDNT WANT THIS, AND JUST LIKE MAGIC THEY REFUNDED THE MONEY, NO HASSLE NO DRAMA. AND THIS WAS ALL CREATED THROUGH MY OWN STUPIDITY, I WAS IN A HURRY TO GET OFF THE PHONE FROM THANE AND I WASN'T LISTENING SO I JUST SAID YES YES YES, AND THAT WAS MY OWN STUPID FAULT, I HAVE READ ALOT OF YOUR POSTS AND IT SEEMS TO ME THAT 99.9% OF YOUR PROBLEMS COULD BE SORTED OUT IF YOU JUST CALLED THEM. ITS UP TO EACH ONE OF US TO BE CAREFUL WITH OUR PERSONAL DETAILS.
