I have received a call on a number of occasions and everytime have missed it. called the number back from a landline and was informed by an automated message it was barclays. have also been informed that barclays have recently been fined £50,000 for calling people from power diallers as what happens is there are not enough operators to take the calls so if your number is rung and there's no one there to answer it you just hear nothing but background noise. i bank with barclays and am getting pretty hacked off with it. am just about to register my mobile with TPS as this should stop them from calling me....

i am beeing called for over a week 3 to 4 times. it is more than anoying. what strange i'm with barclays and orange too:)

Have received a few missed calls from this number and some at about 20:00 in the evening? Not sure who this is? Any ideas?

bloody barclays.i got called on landline twice.i bank with them and recently took home insurance but wi be cancelling now. iv never consented to marketing from tgem and how cheeky you have to ring twice to remove details.i only confirm number incase of scams

Have had 2 calls from them today, both times I didn't answer which resulted in a short message being left after the second call. A man simply said my name a few times then hung up.

I do also bank with Barclays like most of these other comments, I assume it's them and will answer next time as this usually stops these call schemes.

yeah, strange noise in background, Barclays again, but did not ask any security questions. DEFO A SCAM here I think me juiles

I am with Barclays & O2. I have had 18 calls from this company to my mobile AND landline in the past 7 days. Calls are all through the day & evening. How can that may be allowed???

No i dont think it is a trend if ur on orange and with barclays. Im on o2 and they keep phoning my house.

It was barclays trying to make me pay accident cover...told him where to shove it!

08001218141 lots of shouting when I pick the phone up, so i hung up. 3 times this week. Which part of leave me alone do they not understand!!!!!!!

I also get these stupid calls about 2times a day!!!!
And I am also on barclays!
but however I am on O2.

ive been havinfg this thing ring me 3/4 times per day for weeks now i just dont answer ..but im thinking its a calling machine thats doing it hence im not answering as it will cost ME money....will try to get blocked so will let you all know how it goes :O)

I am also with Orange, and Barclays, and I also get calls from this number, which I ignore. Just had another one now. They listen to my answermachine message, then stay online, so machine records the background noise of their office.

I have been on TPS for many years, and ex directory, but they seem to do these calls repeatedly, in spite of me asking them to stop!

I have WORSE problems with BT cold calls though. In fact, am about to report them to OFCOM for the excessive nuisance calls, in spite of several written compaints to them asking them to stop! The cheeky beggars then asked me to PAY for their BT Call Privacy service, to stop THEM calling me!

These, by the way, are the ONLY 3 companies that consistently cold call me, even after requesting so many times that they de-list my number from their systems: Orange, Barclays and bl**dy BT.

got several calls asking for the name of someone who doesn't live at the address, even though i;ve told them this before they keep ringing!!! very annoying and timewasting

i didnt know whos number this was so i didnt answer it so i looked it up on the net and this website came out how strange

I got this trouble last few months ago.just 5 minutes before I got it.on seeing all these comments I judge not to attend and tell operator to restrict the no. or u can change settings of phone.

I've recently started getting calls from this number. 3 or 4 calls a day for the past week.

I bank with Barclays and my phone is with Vodafone, but, strangely enough, I received an unsolicited Orange sim card through the post last week.

I'm normally really careful about giving out my address and phone number so can't think how they have this information...
