Silent phone calls

I got this call, and it sounded like a joke. The background noise was terrible, like on a building site. Someone from Barclays offering Personal Insurance, I said I was at work and hung up. I was scared it was a scam.

Someone called my landline from that number earlier, and asked for my ex husband - he's not lived here for 4 years.  There was a lot of noise in the background, sounding like a call centre.

He does bank with Barclays, and his mobile phone is with Orange.

Called me twice now! First time i answered i could only here my voice back - didn't answer the second time!!

I'm with Barclays but on O2 rather than orange!!

I have also received two calls today from this number. Both times I was out and my answer phone picked them up. No message left by caller.

I am also ex-directory and have signed up to that thing that is supposed to stop unsolicited calls, but they have got my number some how.

Four calls yesterday and three today.
My husband has an account with Barclays, so we know what he'll be ding tomoro

Got a call from this number Didnt pick it and when I tried to call back, it says i will pay.

I got a call from this number yesterday. caller was calling from Barclays...then said it was noisy where i was.  then i asked what the call was about and was told was a courtesy call..but it did not matter and the caller hung up...dodgy

This number has been calling me 4 or 5 times a day now for the last 2 months.  Might just answer it next time and tell them where to stick their insurance.  Also might move my bank account if they are going to keep doing this.

I used to get these calls months ago and told them to get lost, now they've started calling again at least 3 times a day but i don't answer as i never answer a number i don't know.

I had forgotten it was Barclays so decided to google it and found this, and i know when i sign up for something i always tell them not to pass on my info to other ppl and not to phone me with offers, so wtf is this?

I'm very tempted to move banks too, its stupid, shouldn't get harassed like this

Strange call from this number, over 15 times in four days, no one answers or speaks, can just hear traffic noise in background, keeps calling me at work.........how do i stop it???

i wish it would stop callingme , it always calls when im at work!!!

Then when i do answer it there is no body speaking

had the same call for over a week now answered today and it was barclays about insurance

whoever they are , it would save them alot of time if they were to simply leave a message , which inturn would probably result in a 50/50 chance of me phoning them back.If I don't I'm sure they still won't get the message and they'll try different tactics to try and annoy me in my own home.SOME OF US LIKE TO KEEP THE STRESS SHUT OUT SIDE.What debts I have In my head are organised and I can live with them.This is a happy house hold behind closed doors , I won't be made to frown in my own home via nuisance calls or salesmen at my door.My answer machine is there for a reason (so use it),my door has a letter box on it (so use it)

Recieved a call from this number at 8.02pm asking to speak to my son claiming to be from Barclays

I've just had a phone call, I did not answewr, no message left.

i had a missed call from this number, did not get my phone in time  but after reading the other comments not sure there is a point in answering.

Hmm interesting. i am not with barcalys any more and i am with o2. i guess i need to visit my ex branch and have lovley chat.

With barclays but not Orange. Got called once today.

I got this call the other day, when I answered it took a few seconds for them to answer, the guy sounded like a Londener, wanted to tell me about some new offer. Told him to call back as I was busy. He called again few days later and went through this personal accident offer, sounded legit but I told him to post the info as was busy (didn't give my add). I'm with Barclays, phone is Orange but SIM is 02.
