Why do people worry so?  These nurks are just a bunch of c*nts, ignore them and they DO go away.  I just press the "reject call" button on my mobile as soon as they call.  After a bit they give up.  They have never, ever taken anyone to court- all they can manage is to threaten people with their Glaswegian accents.  As soon as you realise they are just full of sh*t you can relax and laugh at them.

Oh, and be warned, aside from this Freephone number, they also use what look like mobile numbers, a range of them beginning with 07807.

I like the idea put forward earlier- keep on ringing their Freephone number, (which costs them)  and tell whoever answers that you will keep on doing it till they stop ringing you.  Your number will soon be deleted from their computer, methinks.

I have similar problems; actually from two numbers - 08001582808 &08434108448.  I know they are debt people - according to the voice mail.  I contacted my phone company and credit card about them but we must continue reporting them for hassling us because I am not in debt and they are saying that they want someone  who has never lived here.

I have been con-called by Littlewoods before on a similar no. and asked them to delete my mobile no. -wonder if one of these is deffo for debt (because of the voice-over message says so) and the other might be also but for LIttlewoods Credit card debt- which I don't own.

Sorry mate but you made the classic mistake of speaking to them!  Of course that gave the opportunity to make their usual "dire threats"!

But all's not lost, because:  a.  No-one will call- that is just pure bull;  but,
    b.  in the event anyone does you simply tell them politely to get off your property or you will call the coppers.

What were you thinking about?  Never ever talk to a debt collector.  I ignored their calls, ignored their texts and guess what?  Not heard any more from them.

Have had 4 calls to my mobile in April and another today 22/5/14.  Because I've looked up this number on the internet I know not to answer it.  I have no debt or history of debt.  Can you imagine what sort of a creep the guy (or gal) who owns this company is?- wakes up in the morning knowing that instead of doing something worthwhile with his life he'll set about arranging machines or other people to create inconvenience for decent people who just want to get on with their day and try to sort out their own day to day problems without having something like this added. What a miserable swine!

Had several calls from this number over the last 3 days, hubby just hangs up if he hears an autobot voice.
I actually listened to the message, which was for a name we've had lots of calls for, who I can only assume was a former owner of this phone number (which Virgin ASSURED me was a NEW and not recycled number -Pfft!) or they're giving out a wrong number on purpose.
Anyway it said "if you are Mr (blah) press 1, if not press 2" I pressed 2 and got a real live person!! The shock of it!!
I told them I was not Mr (blah), and would they please remove my number from the database, and guess what..... THE CALLS HAVE STOPPED!!!! not had one in 3 days from this number now - I know.... WOW!

They will start again.  They always do.  Either that or they will sell the number on to another parasite who will start calling you.

Had a bunch of missed calls from this number to a number I have had several years which only a handful of people have and certainly no companies. Presumably trying to contact someone who previously had this number.

If you have had the number for over six years then what they are trying to collect will be statute barred anyway.  Par for the course for this disreputable bunch.  So call their Freephone number (which they'll be paying for) and have some fun!

Keep getting same automated call asking for a person who has never lived at this address. Now averaging one call per day from the same company. It asks me to press 1 if I am that person and 2 if I'm not. I just hang up. I have had enough now so barring all 0800 numbers.
