I keep receiving 5 or 6 calls a day for the last 3 weeks or so whilst a work but i cant answer it whilst working. I did ring it back from the work phone to get put straight through to a voice mail stating that they are a marketing company but it doesn't allow you to speak to anyone. Sounds a bit dodgy to me.

They've been after me for ages. After a break of a week or so they now call me at least once a day.

I've started answering the call but not actually talking to them to help them rack up their phone bill! ;-)

Got a call from this number when I was out.  They were asking for me by my first name (I use my middle name) so quite clear that they don't know anything about me.  Told my duaghter they would call back later.

Like other callers I am ex-directory and also registered with TPS so should not be getting these calls

Had 17 calls from them over the last 4 days. When answered nobody on other end just silent call. Pain in the ass.

Hi there, I am an ex employee of the listening company and i can assure you these people provide alot of companies with call center facilities without them having to invest in one themselves. They have many clients including De Vere hotels, Travelodge, MBNA, Affinion International, Orange, o2, Sky (infact they deal with most of the inbound for sky). The number that rang is a general one as uk laws state that call center must have a number that people can call back to find out who called them.

Some of these comments are way out of line by calling us "Scum" and "Morons" when infact we are the people at the end of the phone when you want somthing done with these companies anyway.

I had a call from Sky today from this number about a letter I sent, it was handled incredibly professionally and my problem was sorted out straight away with my viewing issue fixed in minutes.  Don't trust all the bad comments you read!

i have been getting calls from this number for 2 months, several times a day. when it started i used to answer it but there was never anyone there, just a computer. after getting several more of these nuisance calls i got caller id added to my line and setup a modem and a software answering machine on my pc called callstation. i have set the software to instantly answer these bu***rs and play a message that gives them the gist of what i think of them, it then cuts them off. all this happens without my phone even ringing. its great. that'll teach them!

just had the call - it was a company offering my credit report for 69.95 a year. is that something that would interest you sir? erm. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. bye.

2 missed calls on my phone so thought i`d look up the number and found this web site.  OMG cant believe this. glad i didn`t return the call

This number calls me so many times in the last 2 weeks. Yesterday alone I had 6 calls from them, 2 in the morning 2 in the afternoon and 2 in the evening. I never answered the phone, if I did I just cut the phone off. How can I stop this call coming?

Had two calls from this number now, each time I answer there's a pause and they hang up. Sounds like cold calling.

They are 'the listening ompany' and say tey are a marketing company calling on behalf of other companies, 'clients'. They say 'Should you wish not to receive any further calls call: 0800 032 4617 then then follow the instructions'...

However when I called this number i just got a tone!

Received a call from this number this morning, twice in the evening before also. When one rings back, there is a message from The Listening Company, admitting to being a marketing agency and some instructions for removing your number, by dialling 0800 032 4617. If you ring the number it plays 'the other person has hung up'.

Received call from person saying I'd just received a Debenhams credit card and were trying to sell me identity theft insurance

just had a missed call with no message and typed the number into google to find out who it was and found all this! I called back from a land line to see what it said and yes it says listening company. Except they obviously are not listening as noone wants to speak to them!

Been receiving missed calls from this number for two weeks.  Ignored it so far as been at work and presumed it was a sales' call.  Answered it today and it sounded like a West Indian man with an aggressive tone saying 'why you keep calling my number?'  I immediately hung up but it disturbed me.  Recently opened an account with Debenhams.  Glad I've seen this site.  Will be closing my account and my phone number.

This number is not necessarily from a marketing company, I think that as someone else pointed a lot of companies unfortunately have the same caller-id as the Listening Company.

However in my case the call was a genuine call from Sky regarding my upcoming Sky HD installation so don't jump to conclusions everyone! :-)
