Silent called (which I understand to be illegal) several times per week over the last two weeks. 2 to 3 times in a single day on some days.

I do like the idea of having a modem on permanent redial to the FREE-phone number. Perhaps during the course of a full day by multiple people.

Lets get the cold callers to "take a chill pill" -see entry 28 Feb 09 possibly by someone working for the company.

had a missed call on my mobile from this number tonight, searched for the number and ended up here (cool site BTW). i have disabled my answerphone service, so obviously no message. if they said they were from Sky i might have believed them initially, because i called sky yesterday to order HD, and was waiting for them to call me back with an installation date. i wouldnt have given out any details regardless of who they are anyway, but thanks to this site the number has been added to my reject list.

This number called me and the guy on the other end said he was from O2 and wanted to renew my contract. Since O2 dont talk to you without 3 security questions I knew this was impossible.

Got a call from this number today - several rings - but there was a dial tone when I picked up. I got a call from another company some weeks ago trying to information on what charities I supported - all from an 'international number'.

All of this started after I had business dealings with a company called Nightingale Contant. They spammed my email, have sent me unsolicited marketing mail, and now it would appear they've sold my details to unscrupulous marketers - and I say this with good reason - I have never recieved this type of call in the 30 years I've had this phone number, until shortly after dealing with Nightingale Contant.

These guys have been calling me for the last two weeks and the silent calls have been driving me insane.  It's probably a good thing that they haven't actually got through to me yet as I suspect I wouldn't be at my most polite.  It's extremely annoying as I am disabled, ex-directory and on TPS, so I'm not sure exactly how much more I should have to do to stop these kinds of calls!  Anyway, I rang back via 1471 and got the recorded message.  I have now called the automated number and hopefully that will be the end of it.  Fingers crossed!

just had a call from this number no one there when i answer the call. have recieved numerous calls in the past week.

had a number of calls from this number over a period of 2 months saying they are O2 and if I renew my contract I will get extra stuff, not due out of my contract any time soon so know its bogus !!

They called me at 18:31 and when I answered nobody spoke. Frickin annoying

I work for TLC, and in the contact centre I am in, we work on behalf of many different clients, such as Sky, Affinion and MBNA. Annd while I personally don't know about people at my end not talking when the phone line is open, I can say that none of us want to make these constant (and oten annoying) phone calls, but it is our job. We have to do it. We only have people's phone numbers because they have registered them with our respective clients. I understand your frustrations, but we are just doing our job, what we are paid to do.

They keep calling, when we answer they hang up......Muppet's!

i keep getting calls but they ring off before I can answer them and I don't call back. It's always on my mobile - how did they get my number when I am registered not to receive unsolicited calls and when is someone going to do something about this?

You can call the company back and tell them to stop calling, remember to insist that your details are removed from their databases.

I have been receiving calls from this number for about weeks. Only answered once and they hung up straight away. Bit sad really. Will try the hash thing next time and will def not give out any info. Thanks guys

Been receiving calls from them for a long time, never answered as it is usually MBNA or orange.

Dialled number back and was given this number to remove from there database. Entered my number and touch wood no calls.

Think they are genuine and if they are then hopefully i wont be called again.

I am registered with TPS - still they ring, sometimes twice a day. Never answer, leave it for the answer machine. No messages.
What a waste of our money - we must be paying for it somewhere; I have Talk Talk for call costs and have already said I am not interested in any more of Carphone Warehouse's crap services: they either charge to set up or never respond to e-mails and letters of complaint, even the CEO. Atrocious.
As for SKY, how many of their boxes and unorthodox dish fitting costs do they expect me to buy??

Iv had calls from this number at various times of the day. Every time I answer the line stays active for around 5-10 seconds then it goes dead. I am fed up of getting these calls now. Iv been recieveing them for around 2 months and dont know who they are or what they're after.

I have just dialled 02084841000. I explained the situation so they offered to take me off their dialling list!! Lets hope the calls stop now!!

This number keeps calling me upto 3 times a day for the past few weeks!

Every time I answer the phone, the phone hang's up.

If it leaves a voicemail, that hangs up an well!
