Never talk, you just here people in background taolking to someone.
I think it's a case of multi dialing & first to pickup gets to talk to them.
Complete neusance & time wasters.
I think everyone should ring them back repeatedly over different days to get their phone bill sky high, & annoy the hell out of them.
Come on people wheres your backbone get ringing, it costs you nothing.
But will give you a great deal of pleasure. Even better withold your number before ringing then they wont know who is calling. Yea! Yea!

One further comment.
When you get fed up with ringing them repeatedly.
Contact Telephone Prefrence Service on 0845 0700707.
Give them your details (probably will be an answering machine).
They require that all of the above remove your telephone number from there database.
After 28 days if anyone from an advertising, sales, or political party calls you. You can report them back to the Tel Prefs Service and they will deal with the company concerned, as it is a "Legal Requirement" to comply with their service. Failure to comply will result in them being penalised.

They just rang me and asked to speak to the owner of the company i said what company they hung up.

Second call from tem. Today they were T Mobile, trying to sell broadband. Pointed out i alreadt had it. Surprisingly polite actually.

TOLD THEM TO F''K OFF as sister has just died and all me and my mother get is these people ringing every 5 minutes. I have registered with a company to prevent these callers....for what good its doing....never any problem before BT took over as the line server.

he said theres no need for that so I told him a gain.

the message always says; "this is a text message for 0800 3896818" and then there is nothing
same to my home phone early in the morning say 7am and the same at weekends
its a right nuisance

I receive an average of one call per day from 08003896818 and all of them are "silent calls" (no one on the other end and the call is disconnected several seconds later).

The company responsible is "The Listening Company Ltd" and they can be reached on 020 8484 1000. Apparently you can request that your details are removed from their database.

hi all, i work for tlc and do outbound calling, usually the dialler is slowed down if we are all busy to avoid the silent calls. and as far as i know we cant actually hang up on people, on a new system we use the hang up button is disabled.

hi just another silent call to my mobil very annoying as this is evey day going away soon so dont need them to be calling while abroad how do i stop them.

just had a call from this number.  it was someone offering me a t-mobile contract for less than the official t-mobile website or store offers.

I am sick of getting calls from these annoying people.  The listening company, I just want them to stop hassling me, a couple of months ago, I told them I wasn't intereted, as I actually got to speak to them, but they are ringing again they haven't got the hint.

Rang the other day and was rude to my wife - hung up when she told them that she didnt want a new Sky package.  Telephoned today and told me they were calling from Sky and asked for my password.  I refused to give them password.  Rang Sky and they told me that we should pass number on to Ofcom.

yup same here silent calls just had one whilst at work then got hung up on!!!  gutted i answered now cos they know my number is in use! annoying ba*tards they sell this info to other companies, for me this is theft why should they be allowed to sell this info that they obtain by iligitamate means?  Offcom are a joke and the tpc why cant anyone do anything? vigilate is the way forward for me... someone said set modem to their free number to mess with there system i will try this any other ideas anyone??? lets mess with them

Have been receiving calls from this number for weeks to my mobile and they are getting more frequent, after checking on google and finding out who they are I don't answer, but they are driving me mad!!! They have also phoned our landline usually after 8pm, when will they stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This number keeps calling me all of the time - i have never picked it up and having read what is on this website i wont be either.

This number has called on numerous occasions over the last few days, never anybody on the other end ,jut hangs up..grrrr

If you call back the number it will give you another 0800 number - 0800 032 4617 to call so you can be removed from their lists.

knew my name... asked if i had store card and made me confirm my name, when i couldnt make out what type of store card it was they said it was a bad line and said they`d call me back. English accent
