received call and they (whoever ) they are hang up

Had a call on 23 Feb 2010 at 8.10pm. Caller claimed to be Amazon Credit Card, very polite, asked if I knew the benefits of owning a card and then asked for my date of birth. I said" I do not give security details over the 'phone, because I don't  know who you are" They said "thank you" and hung up straight away.

they called me about balance transfers said they were from mbna i said no thanks they are dodgy

I have had 3 calls from this number to my mobile, each time they havent given me enough time to answer. Probobly just as well, as they are trying to sell me something i dont require.C9B6

The above number keep calling and no amswer or hang up after 2-3 rings. IT HAS TO BE STOPPED.

For the past 5 days I have had 2 calls a day from this number and every time I answer they just hang up! If the are a genuine company as stated by a few on this web site, then why are they so annoying by hanging up???? I am now calling 0800 032 4617 to have this number removed...

Keeps calling during day and eveningeven though we have a "call barr" service,we now just ignore it

They have been calling my mobile for the last 5 days at random times. Getting really cheesed off with it now.

Is there anything one can do to stop them calling?

Just had a call from this number and I asked who was calling and the reply was 'Nathan from Sky - could he talk to the account holder;!  I said 'they were not available' so he said he would call back - better not.........grrrrrrrr

I am a toyota owner and this number just called me about the toyota recall and told me to take it to my local dealor.

02 Trying to flog some extra mobile phone packages- I like the suggestion of holding down the hash key- I shall do that now for every non recognised, International and withheld number that calls. Its about time I got some entertainment back from these low-life time waster vermin who should look for a proper job.

as i said before you can ring up sky, mbna , or who ever and ask to be removed from the mailing list, its not hard a takes no time to do.

most people i know that do this job ,do not want to be there, they are doing it jest to pay the bills. and most are looking for other work.

ubsolicited call

A foreign guy phoned up at 12.50 on 16/03/2010 asking to speak to a collegue (by name)

I said he's not available, what do you want. He's from Business Orange (not Orange PCS)

I field off all calls saying he doesn't take incoming calls. He kept saying oh I'll call back later (a common trick to get you to say it's ok to call back) I said no don't.

He said who are you, James..
ok so you're james, you're the "gatekeeper" there are you? I said yes and he hung up.

I wish I could electrocute people down phone lines!!

Just been called by this number 08003896818. I answered the phone and they hung up. I checked the number out on google, and it took me to this website. Its reassuring to know they are scammers and to ignore their calls.

It IS The Listening Company, I work for them and when my managers call me they dial from this number. It is NOT a scam, although some departments are outbound sales. TLC are a telesales company and take/make calls on behalf or all sorts of companies... Virgin, T-Mobile, BT, AA, Toyota, MBNA, Debenhams, Travelodge, Sky, Page One... The list goes on!

get a call from this number every couple of weeks - phone rings i pick up they hang up. sure it's a scam so don't call back

Fed up of these callers will try the hash key thingy next time so it messes there phoneline up lol
