remove yourself like I did, after 1 call - and never get any calls from them.

Called me 06/04/2010  did not answer

Just got a call this morning and range the number back and they said that they are from the Listening company and are a marketing company on their voicemail message. I don't know how they got my number and I ain't interested in what they have to offer.

If you get a call from 08003896818 (listening company) then don't bother answering it. Phone 08000324671 and follow voice prompts to stop recieving these call's from that company.

i did 1471 from my landline and this number came up.  i rang it as it was a free number and its says they are "The Listening Company, a marketing agency calling on behalf of a number of clients".  Darn right they are a listening company, using auto dialling equipment to listen out for when you are in (by answering the phone).  and they may well be legitimate BUT im registered with the telephone preference service which should stop this kind of irritation and have reported them and i would love to know where they got my number from.

Ah, I work for the listening company inbound. We are called "Service Professionals" and we are treated like crap by customers (although rightly so) and our employers.

I'm there because I was made redundant from my last job and need money.

We are poorly trained before we are chucked on the phones and expected to do things, the systems they use, or that their clients have asked them to use are poor, can go down for hours at a time, and are generally buggy and broken.

They are a legitimate company however, so I would advise that instead of directing anger at them, to direct anger at the companies who decided to use them to outsource to.

Poorly paid, poorly trained, poorly managed people in a bullsh** company.

If you return the call when missed, you get charged

Erm.. The listening company's biggest client is Sky. Sky outsource to us.

Saying that, its the worst job ive ever had, only still there cause I cant afford to leave without another job waiting.

Don't be too angry at the call centre workers, our employers treat us like crap, pay us rubbish and overwork us. Partly Sky's fault, partly TLC's.

Ummm, you're all being a bit dim, this isn't a scam. The Listening Company will only have your number if you're a customer of one of these companies. Customer of Sky? The Listening company has your number. Customer of Virgin? The Listening Company has your number. Toyota, 02, Orange and more. If you are a customer in any of those companies, we have your number.

I can't speak for all campaigns, but the department I'm on (sky install) would only call you for a legitimate reason.

Not that I can say it's a good or even ethical company, treats its workers like crap, pays us peanuts, and wonders why we hate them.

I am also ex-directory and got two calls from this number yesterday at 1650 and 2053, they just hung up when I answered. I too called back and got the recorded message. Just phoned their 0800 032 4617 number to get my number de-listed, which they say may take up to 24 hours...

just had them phone and ask to speak to my husband,said from Sky and wanted to know password for the account.Sunday morning 11.20 just as we were going out the house!!Was this a scam?

Also just called from this number. No message. Will ignore.

I constantly receive calls from this number and various times of the day but especially in the evening. Luckily I have my answer machine on, but when they do leave a message it is blank.

I have been receiving constant phone calls from this number. Have not answered it yet and won't now I've read some of the posts on here. Thanks for helping me figure this out. What a load of spam!

I don't answer any calls showing an 0800 number, but this one never gives up!!  Every day this week when I've got home from work, my phone shows that they've tried again....so I've just put my numer on the "please do not ring me again" list, by ringing 0800 032 4617.  So fingers crossed that it works!

Not sure if anything is achieved by posting this message as all I want and most of you probably want as well is for the calls to stop.  I've reported it to BT as a nusiance phone call, registered my number and still the phone rings, its an invasion of my privacy I hope something can be done to stop them whoever they are!!!

I just had a call from this number. they said they were fraud prevention and wanted me to confirm my details with them. I just laughed and said.... 'you called me and you want me to supply you with my details? AS IF!' then they hung up
