Called the number back, got recorded message from The Listening Company, a "marketing agency making calls on behalf of a number of different clients."

My number is registered with TPS, naughty naughty - I shall be reporting.

These people keep waking up my baby, I hate them. I'll have to unplug the house phone I think. Why should I do that in my own home?.. :(

I get this call frequently and at different times of day and night.

keep calling, when i answer the line is silent. called 3 times now

I have had ANOTHER silent call from this number/company - even though I have used the automated number removal line which obviously does not work... Its annoying as they have my work telephone number and keep ringing stopping me from working. I wonder how one of their directors would feel if I kept ringing his office line 3 times a day and hanging up. Reporting to the TPS does no good either, and I have not heard anything from BBC watchdog yet...

had call yesterday, didnt answer and after reading the above dont think i will bother answering it if they do try and call again

a call on a daily basis to our company and we have 4 numbers who operate from this office!

time wasting or what, their dialler must be set to high!

Just received a a call from the same number, phoned yesterday at exactly the same time of day. - haven't answered as haven't got a clue who it is, but won't now after reading all your comments- thanks for the warning!

this number rings me constantly and i never answer it, as far as i am aware a listening company is associated with 'auto diallers' that collection agencys and marketing agencys use to sort of 'test' the number for a response which is done by a computer, if you answer it gets passed to a real person hence why they are usually silent calls.

Yeah in the past fews days ive had this number call me, about 4 time a day all at different time aswell.

Its interesting that recently i've had new dealings with the following companys(in the last 2 weeks) with either enquirys or new contracts so its would seem to be as a result of dealing with one of them:
BT         (Phone Line)
Virgin     (Broardband)
SKY        (TV and Broadband)
Orange     (Mobile broadband)

Had this number a few times. Just had one 5 mins ago. I never answer 0800,0845, 0870 etc numbers. If they want to speak to me they can leave a message and I will ring back otherwise I ignore them

got a call from this number, no one on the end of the line it seems.;

I have just received a call from them and they wanted to know if i was the person they thought i was. I said before i tell you who i am, please tell me who your company is. They said they COULD NOT TELL ME, UNLESS I CONFIRMED MY IDENTITY. I just hung up

have received many calls from this number with nobody speaking to me and i am getting very irrate with this if it ever comes when someone does speak to me they are going to get a right mouthfull off me can you help

Just a thought. I entered a load of competitions as per the list of 'closing competitions' on Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert website at the weekend.  First time I have done this and there were a couple for Sky competitions.  Got a call from this number today for the first time.  Co-incidence?

calling me a lot, decided to answer just now..."hello im from sky television"..err no your not luv..your from a marketing company called the listening company "no im from sky"  (and so this exchange of words went on)..said im not interested.
anyway googled their company and came up with their homepage..found the contact number (0208) and rung THEM. got through to a pleasant young lady who apologised and took my number off their system.  
so furious they said they were from sky and they weren't!!

if you go on facebook there are a few groups relating to this company...

keep getting calls from this number, as soon as i pick up the phone their end goes dead, i,m also ex -directory, where did they get my number

Today they are Three Mobile. A few days ago it was Argos Customer Servces!
I'm not even with Three Mobile!

This number called today, a man asked for my husband, I said he was out and asked who he was calling from.  He said he was from MBNA Business, Bank of America and was calling all their customers; I told him we weren't a customer of theirs and hadn't been for 3 years.  He apologised and hung up.  Seems to be they are calling up any customers to rack up more business, even though the customer probably hasn't been with them for years.
