That awful company who ring from 08003896818 every day trying to sell me something!!!

I have set my fax machine to send them a fax every few minutes on their fax number which is 0204841001 asking them to stop calling me.  I get my calls for free so there is no cost in this. If everyone who gets free calls from their landlines does this it won't achieve much but it will make me feel sooooooo good to think it might annoy them as much as they annoy me!

Just had a call from this number claiming to be for sky looking for someone in the house I asked to take a message they refused saying they'd call back later!

I think they've called me every morning this week - their number seems to be present everytime i call 1471 - but luckily I'm always at work.
Got a call a couple of minutes ago though and as most of you have rightly said, there's no one on the end of the line.
I'm loving Mr Angry's response! If I had a fax machine here I'd join the party! In fact it's almost worth buying one just to get revenge!!

i was called on the 3rd and 4th july, they stated they were phoning from sky and wanted direct debit details. when i contacted sky they said it wasn't them. no problems since so far.

This is 'the listening companies' number removal system. They have to have this legally!

I have just given it a go no idea if it works, but they already have my number so what do I have to loose hey!

I've had calls from them recently, the first time I answered the phone to them they said they were from Sky, then my other half answered the phone to them and they said they were from Orange.  We didn't go through any security with them but it was the same number on both occasions. I've got TPF and ex directory so don't know where they got my number from.

I've been getting these calls, I just hang up the phone. I have to laugh at all the postings here from people who have paid £10 to BT for a 'blocking service' - surely you can see what is happening here?! Basically BT sells your number to TLC; TLC perform nuisance calls; then BT offers you a handy £10 service to avoid the calls! BT wins twice, and TLC gets a cut of the 'blocking service' fee. How do you think they know your name, and get your ex-directory number?! How many other people do you think have signed up at £10 a pop? 10 angry people = £100 for BT! BT & TLC are raking it in - why would they stop? You're keeping the scam going!

I know it is annoying, but why pay for the BT service when they have to remove you for free? This will never stop if people keep buying the services. BT aren't your friend, they are in on the scam just like all the other companies TLC deal with. Don't encourage them.

I just got called by that number, but I didn't pick up the phone (too lazy), I did 1471.

Just got a call from this number at 2041 last night.. I love having this site to look things up.. I never answer when i don't know the number.. Usually Im glad i didn't answer.. Thanks for the site.

tried to remove myself from the listening company too - will get back if it does not WORK!!!!!!

Just had these jokers call me again!  That's at least once a day for the previous few weeks!

Followed the 'Listening company' instructions to remove me from the list, hope they are really listening?

Very, very annoying.  Must be terrible for OAP's and people on their own.

I would love to get my own back on them (thinking cap on!).

Me too - I keep receiving calls from this number, when I answer the line goes silent, whas it all abouuut?

Constantly getting calls off this number, we must have changed our land-line number half a dozen times in the last 6 months to get away from callers like these, we never answer.

We only changed 2 weeks ago and are already getting calls off this one. numerous times a day

I've had a few of these but mostly ignore numbers I can vouch for or recognise (within reason)

good fine on the contact info, wonder how they'd feel about info@listening.co.uk
and sales@listening.co.uk being spammed ... or signed up for spam or anything that makes their life difficuly *cough wink*

When i answered my phone, a recorded message came on saying they were from 'The Listening Company' and they had made an error, something along those lines, they asked me to phone the number back they called on 08003896818, but f*ck them, even though its an 0800 i don't trust this as i believe it will increase sales calls etc. need to know a way to get these people prosecuted

Used this website when I got a lot of annoying calls a few months ago on my mobile.  And yet again got a random phone number calling, this time on my landline.  Thanks for letting me know what this number is, am so glad I missed the call!  Hoping they won't be like the last number that kept calling!

people should answer the call and then say the person they asking 4 don't live there anymore,it seems 2 be working 4 me getting less calls!!!

I get calls from this regularly - the number they are calling is one I don't recommend any more and the phone system I use even uses recorded messages to say so. For numbers I know to be marketers, it even records anything they say - however, I think my "three tones and computer voice" message is confusing them as they always seem to say nothing and hang up after a few seconds.

The message does in fact ask them to leave a message stating who they are calling from - if it seems they are legitimately calling on behalf of a company I deal with, I would call them back. However, they have never got that far so far and I therefore doubt it's genuine.

This number had been calling me many times so i looked it up and found this site!
They called me again (8/8/08) so i answered and told them i wasn't interested as they were asking me to renew a magazine subscription at the first 3 issues for £1 - i said no!

today they call me again - i ignored!! Sighhhhhhhhhhhh....
