1 missed call from 08004089340 time 12:28 wed 22/05/2013 let it ring 3 seconds then switched off...phoned back & it said calls to this number are chargeable ..so i put it down.Not the first time they have phoned at this time....is there anyway that these people can be charged with say ( stalking by phone,intimidation,etc ec ).This phone is for my daughter who is disabled and doesn't need any aggrevation from these brainless imbeciles..

This number keeps calling me have answered but is inconvient wen calling while im at work

had many calls from this No the last couple of weeks, i can see their No on my M/B so do not answer it, if it is from VM they can sen me a email, i,m not very happy with their service and thinking changeing ....

I missed the call and looked it up as always on this site I down loaded a free phone blocker ages ago and the list is growing slowly
I have added this number to it and am so glad I missed the call

Go to the ofcom website you can get advice there and if thats no good the Police
It is actually illegal to make nuisance calls and you have the added concern that this is a line needed by a person who is not as able as others

this number has rang me 3 times today but not picked up

Should have had peaceful Saturday - however, had three calls today from this number.  First one had hung up by the time I answered, but the second two I hung up when I got that time delay thing and realised it was from a call centre.

To anyone who wishes not to be bothered by nuisance callers, post the following message on your answerphone:

'DUE TO THE NUMBER OF UNSOLICITED CALLS RECIEVED, THIS NUMBER NO LONGER ANSWERS INCOMING CALLS UNLESS FROM LEGITIMATE SOURCES. PLEASE LEAVE YOUR NUMBER AND A BRIEF MESSAGE AND WE'LL GET BACK TO YOU AS SOON AS POSSIBLE - THANK YOU FOR CALLING'

Family and friends (legitimate) will be happy to leave you a message - but nuisance callers will not. I have had this message on my phone for nearly a year, and not one unsolicited caller has ever left a message - if they do it's up to me if I call them back.

receiver 2 calls from virgen media number today. what is it you want, why are you calling a phone number that i reserve for private calls. if you need to contact me, then email me.
But i guess its dawn to the usual incompetence of virgin people, they are probably going to try to sell me something ive already got with them.I

Just got call from this number... didn't answer it.... nearly 9.00 at night!

We are now getting the police involved as someone in virginmedia has sold our details to some company. We have had this number & another the same but ending in 1 calling us for over 2 weeks. Virginmedia has no record of anyone phoning us, they have also changed our number & was given a mobile number for a manager to phone us back regarding these calls. We are now getting calls to the mobile as well

Confirmed with virgin it is one of their numbers!! but they checked and said they have not been calling me today!!!

Tried 08004089340 on landline and got a recorded message saying "I had a call today from the virgin media team  bla bla bla!!"
so the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing!!

Call was asking me why i was ringing 0845 numbers .. which we never do .. so decline to give information said they where from virgin media

This number identifys as Virgin Media. After checking with VM. This is NOT repeat NOT a virgin media number. It is a scam number. Be very careful replying to it. DO NOT give any personal details to the caller.

Calls to 0800 numbers are chargeable on most UK networks.
