Keep calling multiple times a day. Indian sounding call centre. Now getting on the verge of harassment. On both mobile and landline. Caller :- 08004089340

Have been rung four times in last 24 hours.

Got a call from an Asian lady supposed to be from virgin media on 0800 408 9340. She offered me a deal on a new mobile phone for my loyalty over 20 yrs with virgin. I was nearly swayed to agreeing to the deal but had second thoughts and told her I would think on it, Glad I did now as it's seems to be a third party sales team. Really fed up now of all these nuisance calls from these pests.

Just had a call at 8:15pm. I didn't answer it as I only answer calls from people I know. I have now blocked the number. Anyway if it is Virgin Madia they would be sorely disappointed, as they don't provide any services at all in my area of North Wales. Now this may be a coincidence but I visited the Virgin Media website earlier this evening. It's the first time I have looked at the site and this was the first time I have received a call from them. And I was using the Private Browsing facility on Mac.

I did pick up a tip from someone recently, and that is, if you do answer a nuisance call, just press and hold one of the buttons on your phone. It sounds a beeper which the caller will find annoying. They will soon give up.

This person has been calling me repeatedly regarding a free upgrade from Virgin (to which I am entitled). After receiving a definite 'scam' call from Vodaphone I decided to check this number and this is what came up. The caller actually has a really irritating manner and keeps saying 'hhmmmmm?'

I had  a few calls from this number. Eventhough I do not give my number so often as it is my friends phone. They are q bit annoying. How can I block it.

Hello today I got a call from this number 08004089340 saying if I want a phone on a contract well I thought it was virgin because that's what they said so I said yes and they told me to say the first 2 letters of my password and I was dumb enough to say it then they told me it's correct and offered me a Samsung galaxy a3 I said OK they said tomorrow you will receive your phone I said OK and when I asked them if they know my adress they hang up so the next day I was waiting for the phone they said it was gonna come around 8 am to 8pm but nothing didn't come so the next day I went to look at my bank account because when I was talking to them they said that there gonna charge me for the phone well so I went on my bank account and there were money missing so I think they got on my bank account and I don't know what to do now

This number has called my daughters phone 3 times. I called it back and automated message stated it was Virgin Media. However, we were both suspicious..... She didn't answer, as she won't if she doesn't know whose calling and has now blocked the number after reading peoples experiences on here!

Just received a call from this number as well.... so far I have had 5 calls today from different marketing companies.

this number keeps ringing at all times of day/night. Have answered twice but no one responds. Went on the forum and loads of people are being harassed by this number and have said it is supposed to be from Virgin Media. I contacted them today - useless as a chocolate teapot. she THINKS it is their outbound sales team but said it is fine to give them my private telephone password and all bank details as they want to set up new account. Who are they? Is it legit?

Crooked foreign thieves. Block this number they are as bent as Alliance Insurance.

calls at odd times of day and night on my mobile.  Usually missed calls and only rings 2 or 3 times.  very annoying.  Never call back as I do not call back on unknown and unexpected numbers

I keep on getting this call every day now!!! Of course this is getting on my nerves. I answered once and heard a lady. I didn't say anything and heard her saying "hello?" And I hung up. I answered to see if they would stop calling me, but they just won't....

this is virgin media ,constant daily calls from Asian lady trying to make you upgrade, fed up with it.
