- AnnoyedI had a call from a lady yesterday (in very broken English) at around midday. I picked up the phone and there was a short pause before she asked to speak to me, and then her sales pitch. She contined to reel off what servcies I had, and to be honest I'm not up on all that jingo-jango, so I didn't really know and said, "Well if you're calling from Virgin, you should already know what services I have." Then she just said yes, and said she wanted to review my services with me, and so I just said I didn't want to buy anything and I don't need anymore channels, so she said, "Okay, thank you for your time today."
I felt immediately suspicious about this call and have just had a missed call from this number again today!
Definitely felt that it wasn't from Virgin, even though they are useless at communicating with their customers too!
Buggers! If they call again I'm going to be asking them a few personal questions.- Caller: Crooks and Co.
- Call type: Telemarketer

- Cy AllenHaving just read the previous messages may be my last was not from Virgin Media pests.Possibly someone they have passed my private information onto. Does anyone know the true origin of this nuisance number ??

- peter replies to lavalampi've been registered with tps for a while now, but doesn't stop sales calls from this number.
- D| 1 replyKeep calling every day and would not leave any messages, so I presume it is some sort of scam!
- Caller: unknown
- peter replies to Dit is actually Virgin, if you complain to Virgin they should stop making the calls.
I've always ticked all the boxes for no marketing calls etc, the fact that Virgin marketing rings in spite of this and won't take no for an answer (ringing again and again after they're told not to), is well dodgy. - Jorings, i answer then they put the phone down
- Caller: unknown
- claire taylorthis number keeps calling me
- Chris CostelloCame to my mobile number; left no message
- ScottI am a Virgin Media customer,I have registered with caller prefrance and I was called tonight from this number when i answered the operator called me by name and offered to save me on my phone bills and asked if I could give her my Virgin password!!. I terminated the call and phoned Virgin they said that this was not one of their numbers!!
- Caller: Virgin Media
- DigireedooThis number called me on my mobile (not a Virgin number) and started offering me free V+ boxes etc. I asked the caller, who had an American accent, to verify who she was and could I call her back using the number that appeared on screen. She attempted to carry on and asked me what TV services I had with Virgin Media. I replied that if she was a genuine caller she would no, said goodbye and hung up.
I rang Virgin on 150 and got through to customer services, who looked up the account and said yes someone had called me and had made a note that I hung up on them! So it appears the number is genuine. However I did say that I had specifically asked not to receive marketing or sales calls and that if I wanted anything I would ring them. They apologised profusely and made a note. Hoping they stick to their word not to trouble me again!- Caller: Virgin Media
- rokiCalled me, woke me up, then no-one spoke and hung up!! If it was Virgin Media as people here sugest then they obviously haven't read my feedback regarding their rubbish broadband and phone package that I wish I hadn't taken! :( Idiots!
- Caller: ???????????????
- MMe too. I just ignore them. They got my number once when the landline wasn't working.
- Caller: Virgin Media
- Mand another thing about Virgin Media is that they charge extra for paper bills and then every day some paper advert comes through the door via Royal Mail or with your bill. I write 'unsolicited paper - please return to sender' on the envelope or if it's a leaflet just put it back in the post box.
- Caller: Virgin Media
- jbclaim to be Virgin but then start asking if I'm still living at my same address and if I can confirm what it is. Very dodgy. I asked him where he got my name from and he started laughing nervously. Told them I would ring Virgin if I needed anything from them. I think this is a scam call.
- Caller: claims to be Virgin, but probably isn't
- bobwho's number is this
- R-CI've just received a phone call from this number too, trying to sell me the latest HD box. Same old sales pitch rant, told them I was busy at work, then they started asking me for my password, how I paid my bills and what bank I was with. I stupidly gave them the details, but have swiftly changed my virgin password to something completely different. My work phone started ringing at this point so I hung up on them. They then tried ringing me back on the same number, but I just ignored it. 10 minutes later, I get another call from a different number - 08000135333 - same woman! Very, very odd. I told them they had the wrong number & hung up.

I will pretend i'm a Russian entrepreneur and try to sell them wheat... The best quality wheat they have ever had. Even tho the crop was ruined by the very hot summer last year.
