they ring me about 5 times a day   dont know number so wont an swer

Called, answered, silence, dead tone.

They call me at least once a day but I don't know the number so I won't answer it!

We have received 2 calls in the last 2 hours - as soon as we answer they hang up.  Very annoying.  We are registered with TPS so should not get unsolicited calls.

Have spoken to Sky regarding several missed calls from this number. They are an independent insurance company trying to scam insurance out of many people who already have boxes under warranty (most are covered for the first 12 months). They advise not to give them any of your details and try getting the number blocked by yuor provider.

I have now had 3 calls from this number all saying they are calling from Sky to insure my home equipment.  Got really aggressive when I said I wasn't interested and now i'm glad I've looked on here to discover it is a scam.  if  number 08004790758 calls you, do not pick it up!

Got a a call from this number in the afternoon today and slept through it in my nap. Very glad that it wasn't for a job interview, saw that I had a missed call from this number and panicked so thank you Google!

I was called by this number today.  If you are registered with TPS then you can complain to them (interestingly enough, Domestic & General is on a list for selection!) and they will investigate.

Sick of this number calling. Foreign accent claiming to calling from an insurance company on behalf of Sky... but nothing to do with Sky. It's a scam. They tell you that you now own your Sky equipment and they can insure it for £XX. Load of boll*cks!

They call me about 5 times a week. Nice to be able to google the number and know who it is so I can continue ignoring them!

Just had call no message, these company's must be getting very annoyed with people like me, we never ever answer the phone unless we know the number, if they leave no message you know it's a scam or another direct/debit. Caller ID Wonderful!  Hey SCAMMERS Suck My A**    :-o)))

I've been called by this number about 20 times over the last few weeks, can't be bothered to answer it, something related to sky would make sense as I've only been with them a few months.

I know cold calls where people are trying to sell you something you don't really want/need can be inconvenient, but the comments are a bit over the top - these people have called you, they haven't come into your home on Christmas Day and urinated all over your children have they??

I don't believe this a scam, it's a genuine business, the people who call you are just trying to make an honest living, they haven't implemented the policies of the company - although next time they call I will be asking politely that they remove my details from the database and ask them to pass a suggestion on to the management that persistant cold calling perhaps isn't the best way to promote their service.

They have just called for the 9th time since 6/6.
I never answer, just let it go to my fax machine.

From various other scam callers --- 41 since 14/5. All let go to fax machine.
Something has to be done to stop this .
What about £100,000 fine per number for companies selling our private numbers for a start.

Mine is not a problem with not knowing who the number belongs to but i dont no where else to look for advice. I am getting lots of emails thru my work email address which i only use for work. Emails from Transform, Holiday places, bathrooms etc thanking me for my online enquiry!! I have not made any of these enquiries. i managed to have contact with one guy who sent me an email and he told me the date and time i applied on line thru their website, i was not even at home that day and time! They have my works email, and my home address and phone number. This is scarey, how the hell have they got these details? i can understand if it was my personal email address but my work??? no!

I have been called ny these so many times now, pretty irritating. More irritating though is how they got my number in the first place?!?!

Keep getting calls from this number daily too. Judging from what ive read above, its probrably an extended warranty company who specialise in Sky equipment... NOT Sky (i had the displeasure of working for one of these horrid companies for a month). They're designed to make you think that you're already insured and are taking over your policy and creating a direct debit - chances are they're a legit company (as the one i was with was), but all the same a nuisance and waste of time and money.

To all those on here saying it is not SKY I have checked on the SKY website and it is indeed General and Domestic who deal with Sky Protect, their insurance policy for equipment. You are called en mass with other numbers and if you are not first to answer you, along with others have calls disconnected. Check out the following quote from Sky Help "Sky Protect is the only extended warranty scheme that is approved and operated under the Sky brand name. Sky Protect is provided by Domestic & General Services Limited."
