You simply need to login to your account at sky.com then go to https://my.sky.com/mysky/profilesettings/marketingpreferences/ and change your Marketing Preferences

Dont be fooled,.  called sky today on 08448188909 and informed them i was being called by 08004790758 trying to sell me insurance for my sky equipment. At first they informed me this company was nothing to do with sky but when i stated that the web site for domestic and general insurance it said quite clearly that they were the only company endorsed by sky and that i had spoken to trading standards about this matter the operator said she needed to talk to somebody.The operator then said that this insurance company WAS PART OF SKY and they had not give my home phone number to any body as they linked to this company. What a con i changed my number with sky a few months ago due to cold calling and now they do it themselves and then try to deny it. Bottom line is i still had to call 08004790758 and rant at them for a while to get my number removed from there calling list

That's about 7 different numbers sky have used in the past, oh well, another one blocked on my True call unit.....

Got a call from this number today, yesterday and the day before etc. Said he was from sky, and wanted to talk about insurance. I have insurance but though these muppets. I rang the real sky to ask what do I do about these muppets who claim to be from sky. He said to report any phone calls to sky via their web site. The real sky would never call to make offers, and would notify me by letter. If any company who calls and saus they are from sky, but cant tell you anything about your account then they are NOT the real sky company. Dont get coned and complain on offical sky web site

0800 479 0758. We have received 3 missed calls from this number over the past 3 days and they do not leave a message on answerphone and we do not call back. We have never received calls from this number before. Coincidentally, we went back to Sky from Virgin Media for our tv and broadband in November 2012.  Thank you to previous contributors who have probably saved us a lot of time and hassle by forewarning.

Called the landline, I answered and nothing, no-one there.
I've got much better things to do than waste my time answering the phone to silent machines.

Sky domestic and general, asking if my Sky package was working ok, didn't let him get any further.

Sky supply my TV and this people now have my number. I wonder how much Sky sold my details for. They've been after me for weeks and will just not relent.

Getting so fed up with these people, every day i am getting calls from them, and they dont speak......its just silent on the other end.

Had missed call 20 mins ago. So checked online and found out what every1 had to say. Of in doubt google it!
Cant wait to answer the phone when they ring again. Piece of my mind will make sure they dont ring again :)

Just calling twice a day...NO message left !!! Bloody Insurance....Wont ever give my main mobile number again !!!!!

They keep calling but don't leave a message - I screen my calls so haven't had the pleasure that a lot of people seem to have had!  But thank you for posting as I would not have known who they are!  I will keep screening my calls!

Selling equipment insurance as "Sky's only approved insurance company," Domestic and General.

Spoke to a very nice woman regarding insurance yesterday. Don't get me wrong, I didn't want what she was trying to sell, but she did at least have a good telephone manner (unusual these days). Had two cold calls from them today, I wonder if it's because I'm not buying?

how does these people get you phone numbers????

I just answered this call asking for my husband literally minutes after settling my 2 year old. I swore at him and told him never to ring at this time of night before putting the phone down before finding out who he was ringing from. Lol

If Sky refute any knowledge of this company perhaps they can answer as to how they got people's mobile numbers & how they even know that the recipient subscribes to Sky?????? Maybe Sky should be quizzed over this & not just poh pooh it

Hi all, got a phone call from the same number today. I've phoned Sky and told them about it.  They have taken me off the telephone marketing list, so fingers crossed i don't get anymore nuisance calls. I suggest anyone who gets these calls ddoes the same thing.

This number called my landline every day for 3 weeks while I was away but left no message on the machine. They actually rang while I was on this website--I answered but there was nobody there!. I rang back as it was a freephone number and was told in a very quiet message ( they don't really want you to hear it!) that it was  Domestic and General Insurance (SKY) and to ring  0800 083 1747 if I wanted to be removed from the list, which I did and was told my number has been removed from the list but I could still receive calls for the next 30 days.
