Call from Domestic & General attempting to sell me an extended warranty for my Sky hardware.  I told them I was an ex-Sky engineer and could fix any faults myself, she couldn't really argue and accepted this quite readily... peace reigned.

This number rang my home phone and hung up after I answered.

Have started calling myself and a relative. I ignore the call, my contract is due to end in 2 months, that's why they are calling, and if after 12 months my sky box stops working I will buy a cheap one ! Simples.....

Domestic & General. Called today - they've tried several times previously - and claimed to be calling on behalf of Sky. They are part of the "Sky Protect" scheme. They were selling me a warranty for my 6 week old Sky box.  However, I have an ex directory phone number, I have already told Sky, when I first set up my account, that  I don't want any marketing calls from them or any 3rd party companies. It seems that Sky are just ignoring the wishes of their customers.
Anyone who is a Sky customer do check your 'Marketing Preferences' in your online account. Make sure you have them set to how you want or don't want Sky and their 3rd party companies to contact you. But even when you've done that Sky will ignore you.

Received call from Andrew at Domestic & General on behalf of Sky asking "how was I today?"  Responded that I was feeling aggrieved that, despite being registered with the Preference Society, this was the umpteenth call today from someone with whom I had absoluitely no interest in talking with.  Caller terminated the call without response.

This is Domestic & General trying to get you to buy an insurance product for your Sky system. Even though I am TPS, it still got through!

TPS does not actually block phone lines.   They only circulate a list of numbers that should not be called.    Decent, respectable Companies abide by that list.

This number calls every day at 6.00pm. Very annoying

08004790758 this number has phoned me about 40/50 times in the last 3 weeks each time i answer they dont say anything i can just hear them talking between themselves in the background. I think its a computerised phoning system and the staff clearly arnt paying attention. Either way their doing my head in at least if they spoke i could tell them to f off

keep being caled by this number.  i justbletnit go to answer machine and no-one ever leaves a message.  Where do these people get my telehone number from?

Just called me again but I had saved the number so knew who it was and not to answer. Telesales pests from Domestic & General trying to sell Sky equipment cover.

Just ignore them.

4 calls in 4 days to my cell. I attempted to answer the first two times to no one on the other end. This really should be stopped!

I have at least 2calls a day from these people and they are really starting to get n my rag!!!

Phone me at least twice a day.  Leave to aswer machine every call I get then 1471. Wish I could see them in person because it wouldn't be a caber that I'd toss

I'm giving it a try, hope it helps a few others.

Unkown message from this number, refuse to answer it, but strange that every time i contact Sky I get about 4/5 of these calls over the same period,  all at different times.

as usual instead of moaning all the time just have a brain, find the company and untick the contact clause. or just come on here and moan moan moan, that what you folk do best. ITS YOUR FAULT NOT THE COMPANIES THAT CONTACT YOU,READ TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

I recently bought a skype number and then started to get calls on that all he bleeding time from this number. I never answered as I knew it was obviously someone cold calling. I've simply put the number into my blocked list. Hopefully that's them sorted.

Ps, to the pathetic people who obviously work for these types of companies and posted on this site in their defense, can I ask, did you get turned down as parking wardens?
