Hi i do not want calls from  this robot
they are trying to profit of people and causing grief by calling at all different times
do they care

The following number called me 3 times today, 08005875290

bt forwarding a text converted to voicemail - don't need this hassle - used freephone bt number to get rid of this 'service' thanks to the advice above - dial 0800 5875252 then option 1 then option 5

What the 🌀🌀🌀....who is this..3 calls within 10 mins of each other...rings off before you can answer,,I caught the last one but was met with silence then it rang off..can anyone please shed a light on who these dip wits are..if it's BT as some messages above hint at then what the hell are BT thinking, do they want a law suit on their hands for blatantly intimating ppl..because that's what it boils down to... BT GET YOUR FINGER OUT AND SORT YOUR GREMLINS OUT BEFORE YOU DONT HAVE ANY CUSTOMERS AT ALL

If you had read the other posts properly, you would see that you are getting the calls because someone is trying to text your landline number and BT are providing a service for you to receive the message.  It is not BT's fault that someone is trying to contact you in this way.  Amongst the posts on here are some telling you how to alter your settings so that you don't receive these calls.  If you find out who is miss texting you then you can have a go at them.

We were woken up this morning (Saturday @ 07:18) with a phonecall from this telephone number. Not happy.

this number is indeed connected to sms from bt, if you want to cancel the service or elect when the calls will be received, you have to dial: 08005875252, if your number is with held you have to add 1470 in front of the 0800 number, ive just opted out, hopefully the silent irritating calls will at last stop, what is this all about??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

had 12 calls in one hour from 08005875290 had enough informed the police

Got one of these calls today, said it was an SMS retrieval service and to call an 0845 number to listen to it. Not with BT, whenever I've had a text message sent to the landline it has been played through my voicemail.

I understand this is a service that BT provide if someone sends a txt but I am with Sky for my landline and calls? Besides i really don't want to dial any number and let BT have this phone number. Since changing my number after leaving them I get no marketing calls and would like to keep it that way!

Who has called me from this number please?

Recieved call this morning recorded message.

They have called three times in the past 15 mins.

Fed up with getting repeated calls in the late evening from 08005875290 which are silent when we answer

I had this call and it was todo with paypal..
for me it seems someone was trying to hack my paypal account, as it said it was paypal calling and enter the code into the website.
go the message after about a 10second pause.

Two calls early AM. It's a text saying I have an eye test booked. I have not. Annoying.

Just had a call from this number, hope it's the first and the last after seeing some of your horror stories. Will keep you informed.
Time 12.24pm.

Got a call at 9.30am today. Waited for few seconds then message said I have a txt. Gave me options to listen, save, delete etc. I dialled 1471 and was told by a automated service to visit bt's web site. What a load of time wasting! Probably energy supply company as I've just inquired about switching suppliers.
