saying See You Friday.

WHO SENT IT?

36 calls from this number in the last 90 minutes seconds apart when I answer nothingis there no voice message noting - call the number back I am directed to BT.com or my service provider.

apply to be on the telephone preference service, ie its illegal for them to randomly phone once registered.  [not that half of them give a fk!]

Who are these people ? You pick up the phone and no one answers you , we have had nine calls today , ENOUGH.....

This number has rang me 5 times in one hour. It's annoying and I am not picking up.

This number (0800 587 5290) called me at 7:03 this morning but by the time I'd woken up and got downstairs it had rung off - answerphone message was a garbled mess
I couldn't understand.... Reading these comments it may also explain a very strange, unintelligible SMS message that was on my answermachine last week...sadly I couldn't get the number it came from as someone else had called by the time
I found it.

I am not with BT, I am ex directory, I do not have an SMS enabled landline and I don't give out my landline number on forms or as a contact. Nobody in my family/friendship circle is trying to get through to me or sent a message to my landline by mistake as I have checked so I can only conclude these calls/texts are spam. I'm not even sure it's knowingly coming through BT, it sounds like scammers or something as the messages make no sense!!! Have rang my provider, BT (what a nightmare that was) and Ofcom and reported the number....

Just received a silent call on my landline from this number. 20.30 on a Sunday evening. My phone is old but is SMS enabled. However the message was not received. Redial says that the call was from SMS TEXT BT service. Will try calling them tomorrow to find out what is occurring.

I got a sms text message through my phone at 7.20 am.  It woke the whole house up. Don't know who it was from as we only got half a message and it sounded like a time.

Had a call this morning and couldn't understand the text message so I was told by BT recorded message to ring 08005875290, then told to go to website www.bt.com/bttext to get message....... huh? Where do I go from there??

Probably quicker to dial your Operator and ask for assistance.

This number has rung me 5 times today, when you answer it makes a slight noise and cuts off, as this is my business numbers its very annoying

26 missed calls from this number, no voice mails left. Safe to say this is a number we are happy to block from our works phone system after reading your experiences. Thanks folks

Had a call today from this number and can confirm it's the BT SMS (text) service. It was informing me of the delivery slot for parcels I was expecting.

Got a call from this number 7:45 this morning saying for an alternative day to deliver a parcel, press option 1, 2, etc.  It is a good job I don't have a text phone since I am actually waiting for a parcel. I phoned the above number which they stated was BT text messages, and found this page which I am forever grateful for as it has put my mind at rest as this was just a scam.

Who is this number,and what do they want,I've just had one now,will it cost me .
