I got a call from 08007838555. I answered but nobody spoke to me. It was just silence for a couple of minutes and then they hung up. We have also recently changed Gas & Electricity suppliers from Powergen and other people have mentioned this may be them calling.

Been getting calls from this number for a few days so answered it just now, it was E-On "about your gas and electricity, can you confirm your name and address please?" I asked what it was regarding he just said "your gas and electricity" said he couldn't continue unless I confirmed name and address. Said I wasn't willing todo that unless I knew what the call was about.

I'm switching suppliers at the moment so I suspect its a retention call.

Eon sales call - said she wanted to take some details so that they could offer a better price if we swapped to them.  Unfortunately we're already with Eon and when I queried why she didn't already have our details she didn't know how to answer.

Claimed to be from E-On who we are changing from, and seemed to know we had already had renewal notices, but oddly said they don't automatically renew which of course they do, so I don't think this is legit. Best advice I can ever give is just don't ever take anyone like this at face value.
