Same drill - "Club Lacosta Resorts & Hotels" -a very nice guy called SCOTT MATTHEWS called with the 2-letter-2-digit winning reference and the 0800 number and knew our post code.

Asked if we were both between 18 and 62 years old (fair enough; there is holiday med insurance to consider)

Then asked if we were home-owners or mortgage-holders . . . Oh yeah? What's that got to do with the price of tea in China?

Same 0800 as above, same 50-pound voucher offer.

Well we are getting married in a few days and have no honeymoon booked but have some time off . . . wonder of they provide first-class-catering at their presentation?  Of course, we have a joint income of just over 75k and a couple of years left on the mortgage on a 2.5 mill house . . . . .   ;)

I got a call saying we won a holiday after filling a form at the British Motorshow (which we really did fill. The number who rang me was not displayed and they said I have to call this 08009889900 and use the security code they gave me to claim the holiday and that I just have to pay around £29.

I was phoned last night by "CLC Hotels", and was told that I had won 7 days' holiday following the survey I filled in recently at Bourgas airport, Bulgaria. A girl called MICHELLE said that if I rang the 0800 number, I could choose from Spain, Portugal or the Canaries. No mention of timeshare, etc...but then again, they wouldn't, would they?!

Just had a call on my mobile from CLC Resorts and Hotels saying i've won 7 nights luxury holiday in Europe or UK for filling in some survey I did on the net, but have to pay for airport taxes and booking. They said I had to ring 0800 9889900 before 3pm today on a land line to speak to a lady about claiming my prize and they gave me a ref No.  I'm so glad I googled the number and found this site, I won't be ringing the number now!

Called the free phone number to claim. As soon as they asked me how much I earned a year I realized it was Time/Share I entered the competition at Cows week on the Isle of Wight who said the competition had the backing of the council to find out who is holidaying on the I.O.W. Liars!

Had enough of these phone calls!
Received a phone call from a witheld number and the lady told me she was from Club La Costa and that I had won a FREE holiday!  She told me I had recently completed a questionnaire (true) and all I had to do was ring the free phone number 0800 988 9900 and quote my reference number.  I checked this website before calling but thought I'd give them a ring out of interest and I spoke to a woman called Gemma.  When I called I was asked for my reference number and my name.  Then when I was asked for my phone number I said that surely they have all those details on their system and that I didn't want to give out any personal details over the phone.  However, Gemma said they do not keep any such records (don't think so!).  When she asked if I earned over twenty five grand a year I said no and all of a sudden it was no longer a free holiday but just a promotion!  She then went on to explain that the company sells time shares so they only invite people to go who can afford it.  I asked if I would still receive my high street vouchers and surprise surprise I'm not eligible for them either.  I said that I should never have been told it was a free holiday as that is false advertising and she agreed with me.
So it's the same story as everyone else.  Oh well, it was 5 mins away from my desk!

I got one of these calls from CLC, went to meeting, got vouchers, holiday etc, brought into a holiday club, never been happier! Wots wrong with u people, it's only a scam if you don't want it! Moan moan moan! If they offered you the winning lotto numbers, you would run to the meetings - they are one of the genuine companies, if you don't want to join just say no, take the awards and go home!
Every company has bad press about something - have you ever type in your company into Google!! CLC can work for some so the same as buying a house, you can either afford it or you can't.

Do u realise every1 has to make a living and this is how they make there's. In all companies there are good and bad employers - Club La Costa get rid of the idiots and do ya company a favour! Oh yeah, train them to be a bit more honest!
Me and the wife did get a fantastic holiday out of ringing that number - just for about 100 quid each, so its not all bad!

Won a holiday today (9/09/2008. Man rings to congratulate and tells me to ring 08009889900 quoting ref: h135a####. Ring within 30 mins and they will give my wife M&S vouchers to spend. He commented "you don't sound happy or convinced". I replied "you don't get ought for nought". He commented "it's definately genuine". Anyway, suspicions aroused I decided to check this out on Google and 'low and behold' suspicions confirmed. Do not ring this number there is no such thing as a free holiday, not from these people anyway.
