- Janice TI've just received a call number withheld - the girl said that I entered a competition on Get me a ticket on 28 August for a holiday prize and that I need to call this number with a reference and they will send me the details through the post - it was a luzury holiday for 4 people completely free (flights etc) to either Portugal Canary Islands or Spain and that I had 18 months to take it - has anyone else been quoted an actual site? it's a bit bad if it's Get me a ticket - I thought they were a real competition company!!!!
- Caller: Get Me a Ticket
- Mr KhanMe too! I won a holiday for 4, I said I'm not interested as there are 6 in my family. They suddenly changed theur mind to 6 people but the last 2 would have to pay. What a bunch of wasters.

- Elaine ClarkeJust received a call concerning winning a holiday from a competition we entered in Mercia Airport about 3 weeks ago. Checked the 08009889900 number on-line and found it was a scam for timeshare.
My kids were excited about the prospect of winning a holiday and even though they are 30 and 22 they were gullible enough to believe it was true.
How many others would believe it and not do a simple check then regret it.
These people must be stopped. - TTHad a phone call saying I had won a holiday to Spain and I had to ring 08009889900 to validate my prize. The caller gave me a reference number and said if I rang before a certain time I would also get some shopping vouchers. I was nearly duped by this as I recently went on holiday from Bristol airport and entered what I thought was a legitimate competition for a holiday. I am annoyed that Bristol airport allowed this to go on within its terminal. I didn't ring the number but I am sure many others probably were caught out by this!
- mrs wellsI have just received a call telling me that I had completed a questionnaire at Alicante airport and had won a 7 night luxury holiday including accommodation and airfares. Value £1500. All I had to do was ring 08009889900 during the next half hour and quote ref. no. SA8R***B and I will get a letter of confirmation from them. The caller sounded as if she had relayed the same message to everyone she calls. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FREE LUNCH or free holiday!
- GSRjust had a call that I had filled in a questionaire at Faro usual holiday for 4 with a reference number. Found this site and thought you might like to know that it is still going on!
- BobIt seems this scam originates from those people doing 'surveys' in airports. We were approached by a woman in Alicante airport in early September to completle a 'quick survey'. This resulted in our 'prize winning' call from these people which, on the return call, quickly turned out to be total BS.
- RoosterFilled out a questionnaire airside at Alicante received phone call 3 weeks later stating the same as above, will attend the sales pitch at lakeside (may receive vouchers), very interested in the catch to receive the holiday all credit cards will be left at home and I will suddenly lose the ability to sign anything on that day.
- CMJust received the same call to my mobile. Same 0800 988 9900 number and SEC etc reference to use. Told holiday for 4 valid for 18 mnths value £1,500. Must call by 7.30pm and kept pressing that it was Freephone. She didn't mention the word prize or an award, just that I'd been picked to receive an offer.
I asked if it was timeshare as so obvious but she claimed no. I asked for the company name again and she said CLC or My Offers. I NEVER EVER complete surveys either online, on the street or at airports so I suspect they are paying for a mailing list from another company. Perhaps the store cards like Sainsbury's and Tesco's etc or more likely from an internet based shopping site as they always ask for contact numbers for deliveries.
She wanted to confirm if some details were still the same - I was with a husband/partner for 12 months, if I was still in a certain age bracket - obvious questions the time share sales need to know.
The girl was young and there was lots of noise in the background as if she was making the call from a busy train station!
I already have timeshare for 18 years that I'm very happy with, but I never mentioned it - funny she didn't know that so she didn't get my number from timeshare registration.
I Never rang the 0800 number - wonder if they'll call again....- Caller: CLC
- Emma SladovichSame as everyone else is there anyway we can stop this from happening??
