- BiffaI like many on here was rang up 'out-of-the-blue' and told that I'd won a prize. Given the fact that I hadn't entered any competition I was already somewhat sceptical about the company.
A quick search on Google and it seems that my fears/concerns were not without merit...I think I'll let some other 'lucky' person win the prize ;o) - PaulHow nice of paula1988 to give so many precise details of the holiday she had, and how YOU can claim the same - which smells the same as the scam phone call to me.
My family know not to do these questionaires in stores or on the street, especially if you can 'win a holiday'. Our number is ex directory and TPS registered yet we still got a call, which was not answered. I just checked here and found a string of info to confirm it's a scam.
So, the number now gets reported to TPS, for what good that will do.- Caller: holidayscamuk
- TimmaaaySame as everyone else, they emphasised to call back asap. They stated I had entered online through an 'axiem' paper (sorry if spelling is poor). Don't know anything about this. Anyone know what an axiem paper is?
- Sally CareyI had a call on the 30th June asking me to participate in a short survey I spoke to a very polite lady with what I think was an Asian accent. She innformed me that I would be sent an email which I must respond to in able to gain vouchers which I can use in many locations. I then received an email which contained alink to www.holidaypass.co.uk/rhi.htm I am always interested in where these type of things lead and am well aware of the scam factor so I gave them the barest details.
Everyday since them someone has telephoned from Club Costa to speak to me. My husband has informed them I am at work. Today they caught me and apparently I have won a holiday with flights for 4 people I just have to ring 08009889900 with claim reference. Yeah Yeah Yeah. Anyway I wont be telephoning as I know perfectly well its to attend a time share presentation and collect my tickets and frankly I am not prepared to loose 5+ hours of my life for this scam.- Caller: Club Costa

- FFSaid I won the competition for a free holiday, then asked me to call this number also gave me the reference number, obviously it's a trick! They also got my email address right!
- KevinHFree holiday for 4 offered if I called the number - said she was called Winona.
Wouldn't give me the companies phone number or address.
Fat chance.- Caller: CLC Resorts & Hotels
- ALAN & SANDRAToday I received a call from a company called CLC , the ladies who called was called Rachael, she sounded really delighted and told me I had won a holiday, What I cound't understand was why if I have won a holiday did I have to go to a meeting at Bristol, and why was it going to cost £29.50 per person . It smelt of time share so I told her I didn't want the prize and hung up.
- Rob KJust had a phone call from 'Club La Costa' with the same offer of a hoilday, and the £50 incentive to phone back quickly, obviously I will not be doing this, but just to let people know that they are still trying.
- jon rJust had phone call, Holiday to Spain, Gran Canaria, Scotland....
Its a Holiday club, slightly different to Time share as i have one, but have been to a Holiday club meeting before and they are hard to shift if you go to the meeting!!!- Caller: club costa
- CaroleI had a call a week after returning form my tenerife holdiay to tell me that I had won a holiday for 2 I must ring 0800 9889900 within the hour to claim my prize and quote my reference number, the girl ringing said she was calling from CLC, Fortunatley for me I was already aware of this compnay as a work colleague had the same call in the same week, how could we both of won? anyhow thanks to this website no thanks they can keep their prize, I will make sure I avoid any survey type personnel at airports from now on.

- AlanTotal scam, I've won a holiday that I didn't enter, need to ring the number provided and quote my special reference number.....yeah, of course I was born yesterday!
- Caller: CLC
- LolGot a call from Anthony saying I had won and all inclusive European holiday for four people. I had to phone a free phone number 0800 988 9900 and quote a ref no to get the info pack. Although I do enter online quizzes occasionally I never include my phone number so knew it wasn't kosher. I never enter holiday competitions anyway cos they are nearly all time share rubbish.
- Caller: CLC I think
- cautiousi thought this when i received a call some weeks ago, however i didnt get told i had won anything, i was told selected to receive, although like most i was very dubious and ignored the call, then on reading the property section in the Sunday Mirror was suprised to see an article on Club La Costa and the facilities that they offer, and from what appeared as very happy club la costa members, seems it may not be the scam i first thought it was. If they call me back, i will go to their exhibition even just to get the holiday and the £50 in gift vouchers on offer. And with the cost of living as it is right now i cant grumble at the 29.50 booking fee and airport taxes. whats to lose i know its timeshare, it doesnt mean i can afford to buy, but i at least have the ability to say no and have a holiday and vouchers to boot.
- DAVEI was contacted by a jerk called Barry 2 today, he was unprofessional, and sounded like a true conman,(TWIT)
- Caller: CLC
- Not scammedJust received the same scam. This time claiming to be a Keith Robinson, and saying that I have won a holiday, plus an extra cash thing if I ring 0800 988 99 00 within the next hour, quoting a reference code of BL71. Then he called back to claim it was now BH71.
Again, as previous posts, Club la Costa.- Caller: Clud La Costa
- AndrewI have just had the two calls with reference number BL66 and usual telphone number, generally the same as many others above.
There must be a point at which these people's success rate of getting money out of someone is so low that they get the message and try an honest pursut, but then again as long as there are a few gullible one around they will still keep on trying.- Caller: la coats holidays
- RuthFriday 1st Aug 2008 received call saying i had won a holiday. Foreign lady gave me a ref.no. and told me to ring this freephone to collect prize. She hung up before i could ask any questions.
- SteveTMy wife has just had the "winning" phone call. Some people clearly must be trapped by this or they wouldn't keep going.
